02/6/2008 17:47 | 40 Mill is current assets ie cash and prepayments and debtors, the 52 million is creditors. it is all on the intrims . i am not counting goodwill and brand and fixtures etc. | robizm
02/6/2008 16:42 | From memory LAN's assets are pretty worthless, including a big wad for the brand name. Suppliers may not send any more stock. | darrin1471
02/6/2008 16:24 | I was thinking similiar although LAN had #16 Mil CASH and even though their bank facility of 6 mill looks in doubt, they have not drawn it down yet, but they have 52 mill of creditors (inc 16 mill cust deps) and around 40 mill of assets, so may take a while to go to the wall. | robizm
02/6/2008 16:18 | I wonder if LAN goes to the wall, which is looking probable, whether the inherited extra business will be enough to buoy SUY. I would think that LAN's demise would further depress the price here but if that does happen it could be a good entry point for one looking to take a punt. IMO. | boffster
02/6/2008 11:37 | OF course they have poor trading but so does Jessops and these dont have the debt .the high street will be hell for a couple of years but a big if they can survive they would then make hay. | robizm
02/6/2008 11:36 | Land of Leather are in trouble and that's dragging down SCS. Funny, I always suspected LOL was the stronger of the two but looks like I was wrong. However prospects still don't look very good for SCS - it all depends on management and cash now and whether they retrenched early enough. | kiwihope
02/6/2008 10:40 | Abandon ship! Abandon ship!! | doowle
02/6/2008 10:31 | ROBZIM very poor trading. a falling knife. time to sell and buy into Centrica. | honiton
29/5/2008 11:06 | could be shorts closing, no position just watching out of curosity. cash is low but not crippled with debt (like courts where before they went to the wall which the shorters seem to have forgotten). trying to work out how long a downturn they could survive after cash and a couple of million overdraft ran out (surely they could raise a few million) | robizm
29/5/2008 08:19 | What's up here then? Has this been tipped somewhere (unlikely) or are there rumours of a sale? | kiwihope
23/5/2008 15:41 | tick tock tick tock ;0) short doing well....waiting for the BIG collapse when, as I think, the RNS is out regarding cash postion | pictureframe
22/5/2008 22:36 | lan, they wont last 2 months! | csmwssk1
22/5/2008 20:48 | There looks like being a few casualties on the high street this summer, they'ye lining up like dominoes. Still not sure which one will win the race SUY or LAN? | still waiting
22/5/2008 13:47 | december they had £12 million now £4 million - so in less than 2 months at same burn rate it will all be gone. Easy money imho | pictureframe
22/5/2008 13:37 | just gone short here - money will be gone shortly. | pictureframe
17/5/2008 12:29 | Bad lick Frauddy. - What did you do then Frauddy? Buy the GDWN I suggested? I remember you posting on that thread a while back that people should sell GDWN and buy SUY - what a disaster that would have been. I'm glad I've helped you recover your loss if you did! Still screaming cheap if you want to invest a load more imo. CR | cockneyrebel
17/5/2008 12:17 | crookney, i'm out, haven't visited the thread because I am no longer a holder, lost a hundred grand or so.......recovered that + elsewhere though, so don't shed a tear just yet please | ydderf
14/5/2008 22:34 | thanks CR, I got out last year at 520, I could feel a demise in my water, I just look here occasionally | dreggspicker
14/5/2008 21:31 | Frauddy is the real name for Freddy - read further up the thread - he got suckered in for shedloads at £1+, got loads to follow him, now he's out imo. Got plenty of time to deramp other stocks but not a word here anymore. CR | cockneyrebel
14/5/2008 21:28 | CR, who is this Frauddy? Does he live down my street? | dreggspicker
14/5/2008 21:22 | Frauddy has disappeared - his dumping has been hitting the price imo. CR | cockneyrebel
14/5/2008 21:05 | how long do you give this then? The cashflow is stuffed if they've paid the bulk of suppliers off, no one will extend credit to this now IMHO. | still waiting
14/5/2008 20:37 | they have paid suppliers as suppliers will now be demanding payment before delivery, same thing happened at courts crto, btw i said that was going and got it bang on, furniture is my game and i know how these guys are doing and how they work | csmwssk1
14/5/2008 11:39 | I thought it may just have been LAN first but it looks more like SUY now imo! | trojan |
