19/3/2009 13:44 | The announcement about the results coming out next week looked good but it has taken a while for the sgare price to move. If the results next week are as good as indicated maybe they will return to paying a dividend. That would be nice these days. Has anyone any ideas about current progress. Is SciSys going to recover and get back to £1 a share over the next year or so. B | balancer
30/6/2008 17:43 | Good article. | qpfc
09/6/2008 15:46 | The price is drifting down on small sales but not going up on larger buys. Must mean something. I am hoping for a good statement at the AGM on Thursday to get ssy moving up again, maybe even a hint that there will be an interim dividend. B | balancer
16/4/2008 09:37 | I didn't think Ratcliffe would deliberate for too long. Will he raise the offer? Probably not. Will he sell MCGN's stake? | bridggar
16/4/2008 09:23 | that explains the price drop - booogggger! | 200308
16/4/2008 07:10 | Talks terminated. | mitzis
15/4/2008 15:20 | Moving up now. | mitzis
15/4/2008 14:32 | but presumably Ratcliffe isn't going to the market to secure shares, his brokers tap institutions? I don't see any significant MM holdings out there... | bridggar
15/4/2008 14:06 | 200308, My thoughts would be that, because of potential bid, there is a demand for the shares, but the MMs do not have the stock and are trying to tempt sellers. Hopefully bid comes, with a premium of 30-40%. | bhoy1966
15/4/2008 12:20 | thanks, bridggar | 200308
15/4/2008 12:03 | L2 shows MMs rather than direct order book entries....(not that it would explain much?) | bridggar
15/4/2008 11:32 | anyone explain the 2p jump | 200308
14/4/2008 08:32 | I've added again | 200308
11/4/2008 16:54 | Cheers 200308 :-) I reckon GVC might be one to watch for a bid - definitely something up before the results. Julian Triger has bought 25% in weeks. CR | cockneyrebel
11/4/2008 16:45 | oh - and any procrastination on his part will see him having to pay more IMHO..... | bridggar
11/4/2008 16:24 | For the uninitiated, Ratcliffe came from Dell & purchased small WGC based printer Microgen, keen to transform it into a digital age player. They've had their failures, (e-billing anyone?) but haven't suffered too badly, now focussed on software consultancy. They have some bright people. Ratcliffe has a reputation. | bridggar
11/4/2008 16:19 | FWIW I don't think Ratcliffe will want to mess around here. Once he gets the bit between his teeth he's usually successful. The Trace group failure last year will have him determined to bag this one. This is why I've bought today. Good afternoon Richard - time for a new porker? | bridggar
11/4/2008 11:59 | RNS Number:1726S Microgen PLC 11 April 2008 NOT FOR RELEASE, PUBLICATION OR DISTRIBUTION, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, IN OR INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA OR JAPAN OR ANY JURISDICTION WHERE TO DO SO WOULD CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF THE RELEVANT LAWS OF SUCH JURISDICTION For immediate release 11 April 2008 Microgen plc ("Microgen" or the "Company") Statement regarding Scisys plc ("Scisys") The Board of Microgen notes the recent rise in the share price of Scisys and the associated press speculation. Microgen confirms that on 3 April 2008, it acquired 3,206,081 shares in Scisys at 32 pence per share and on 7 April 2008 acquired an additional 464,605 shares at 36.5 pence per share. Microgen and Scisys have collaborated in a number of business areas and this operational relationship continues. An informal meeting has been held between Microgen and Scisys and the Board of Microgen continues to consider its options, which may or may not include an offer for Scisys. This announcement does not amount to a firm intention to make an offer under Rule 2.5 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers and, as such, there can be no certainty that any offer will be made nor as to the terms and pre-conditions on which any such offer may be made. | cockneyrebel
10/4/2008 14:30 | 3 mm's with 500 shares each up for salr, that's why the offer side keeps drying up. CR | cockneyrebel
10/4/2008 14:29 | I reckon that director buy last week cleaned up any stock that was around in any size. CR | cockneyrebel
10/4/2008 14:28 | yes, L2 incredibly tight for stock - just 1500 shares on the offer. CR | cockneyrebel
10/4/2008 14:09 | afraid not. | mitzis
10/4/2008 14:08 | anyone got an L2 on this? | 200308 |
