Good to see SDI on the acquisition path again. Probably a bargain price too since they're acquiring the trade and assets rather than the company.

Nice start to 2018 here. On forecast 1.94p EPS rising to 2.2p, SDI remain on a forward P/E of only 11.9 - and that reduces further once you strip out the £2m or so cash pile which represents not far off 10% of the m/cap.

With the £ so low

Small Caps making profits with growing turnover and little debt represent excellent value V other locations

I hope to see SDI make another small cap buy within cash resources ie circa up to £1.5M after next results in April 2018

SDI might at some point soon be bought instead of doing the buying

Till then , keep growth on the up

I think it's nailed on that there will be another acquisition in the coming year. Exactly when and on what size it will be I guess time will tell.In the meantime, things appear to be going well and prospects look extremely positive.

I wonder if the BOD will buy another small cap with cash similar to the last acquisition early into 2018.

I hope so, it keeps turnover and profits heading north as they seem to be making decent acquisition selections

Beginning, I hope, of a long overdue rise here, to resume the trend. That could be significant if it plays out. 29p was the peak in early 2017, so would be looking for something nearer 40p next year, after this basing pattern.

Good to see an end of year tick-up, with the bid price up to 23p.

With 1.94p EPS forecast this year rising to 2.22p, SDI are on a P/E of 12.1 falling soon to just 10.6.

2018 should be a good year for holders here imho.

I noticed that Vitec (VTC) issued a very good trading statement yesterday. They produce high-end camera accessories, supports etc, and in particular they stated:

"The Photographic Division performed well and the market continues to show signs of recovery."

Hopefully this has some positive ramifications for SDI's Opus and Atik businesses.
