28/4/2011 11:22 | Quite here any holders knocking around ? | envirovision
22/12/2010 17:10 | I see the company listed during the worst time in 2008 and only managed to get a small offering away. The "Big long term problem" here apart from the profits warning is the mass of authorised share capital. The company is only here to grow by acquisitions. Given the nature and size of this company, it normaly means over a period of time there is going to be a string of eyewatering private placings not open to private investors and always at market huge discount to raise the cash to do so. So far as the private investor is concerned, you should avoid this sort of stock like the plague.....unless you fancy a dose of the black death in a finacial sense. Its all laid down pretty clear in the AIM admission document, it took me less than 1 minutes research to establish this. SELL WHILST YOU STILL CAN IMO. | envirovision

15/12/2010 08:04 | No comments on the profit warning contained in last weeks trading update ! Trading is broadly in line with market forecasts and the Board is cautiously optimistic that its markets will remain stable and that the Group's strategy will result in good medium-term growth. However an unexpected shift in product mix leading to a reduction in gross margin, and exceptional costs during the period, are now expected to contribute to the post tax profit for the full year being significantly below expectations. | masurenguy
06/12/2010 12:35 | Background Scientific Digital Imaging Plc (SDI) was incorporated on 28th September 2007 and is the holding company for three wholly owned subsidiaries; Synoptics Ltd, Artemis CCD Ltd and Perseu Comercio De Equipamento Para Informatica E Astronomia SA. Synoptics was founded in 1984 to commercialise image processing work being undertaken by SDI's Chief Executive Dr Philip Atkin at the University of Cambridge. It has since developed to produce instruments for the documentation and analysis of electrophoresis gels used in DNA and protein studies, equipment to automate microbiological testing and software and systems using digital imaging techniques for applications in microscopy. The type of activities at which these processes are targeted are widely carried out in both academic and industrial research laboratories, as well as within a wider range of organisations that routinely apply scientific tests in their operations. Examples of these include food producers testing for contamination and pharmaceutical producers testing antibiotic potency. In October 2008 SDI acquired Artemis and Perseu, companies that design and manufacture high-sensitivity cameras for astronomical and life sciences applications and whose products are used in instruments manufactured by Synoptics. | andrbea

10/2/2010 14:39 | Wednesday's tip on UK-Analyst is from GE&CR The recent publication of the 'better than expected' half year accounts has been followed by news of a new product launch and following a company meeting we are increasing our estimates for the year to April 30th 2010 and we have upgraded our stance from "speculative buy" to "buy." | timmon

25/1/2010 17:30 | We continue to have confidence in management's vision and this is evidenced by its strong operating performance and have upgraded 2010 forecast by 20%. Despite the drop in adjusted earnings, we continue to see significant upside potential as earnings pick up in 2011. Trading at a small premium to net assets we continue to rate the shares as a Speculative Buy. | benline1
