Posted at 04/5/2022 15:46 by ceaserxzy Yes, about 1% difference between the two and having sdr is a safer option just in case the vote won't pass (needing over 75% for both share classes) which will lead to sdrc down a lot and sdr up a lot. |
Posted at 04/5/2022 13:25 by topvest I think the price is now quite close as voting shareholders will get a bonus issue of 3 new shares for every 17 held which is 17.6%. I purchased the SDR shares today rather than the SDRC shares, but I'm not sure that it will make much difference long-term. |
Posted at 02/5/2022 12:06 by peterbill There is currently a difference in the share price of SDR and SDRC - currently SDRC is around 20% cheaper. So I'm happy to be holding mine to see how this pans out. |
Posted at 26/4/2022 12:48 by riverman77 Yes that's true although the discount was even wider than normal and you received a very generous dividend while you waited - opportunities don't come round like that so often! |
Posted at 26/4/2022 10:07 by giltedge1 Thanks riverman77 , essential investor & peter bill bought on your comments last month. A long standing Nick Train investment, so thought good value.Receiving a nice dividend as well. |
Posted at 26/4/2022 08:23 by riverman77 Yes the discount that still remains will reflect the dilution from the new share issuance. Also sold out this morning as was mainly holding for the discount which I think is now largely gone. Still decent value here though with a good dividend and solid company. |
Posted at 17/3/2022 16:58 by riverman77 Why would anyone buy the ordinary shares when the C shares are 40% cheaper and pay the same dividend? I thought there must be some catch, but apparently not. Looks a real bargain as Schroders are a quality outfit - strong performance, solid inflows, well diversified by client and asset class, and good progress in moving into higher margin areas (private assets, wealth management, etc). Surprised how incredibly quiet this board is too, although that's probably a good thing. |
Posted at 16/3/2022 16:48 by peterbill SDR - Dividend yield: 3.54%SDRC - Dividend yield: 6.09% looks like SDRC is the better buy for income investors ... |
Posted at 02/7/2021 21:42 by deadly Been like that for a year or more. SDRC is a real bargain and the gap may close eventually to what it used to be. |
Posted at 19/3/2020 08:28 by typo56 Why is SDR so popular at the moment and not SDRC? Someone keen to ensure they get voting rights? |
