Read the IC article, nothing new I could see. They manage to both quote there's "...Scepticism about whether the febrile state of the market will last until the trust is free to start realising some of its big paper gains [on ON]"; and later: "...The outlook for ON is very bright".

ON down 7.5% today mind.

Seemed a well-balanced article, pointing out the SUPP purchases of SPT, PHLL, and JMAT had all flopped, but may yet come back.

RUTH not getting revalued in the NAV until the qtrly revaluation - seems a little cheeky when there's clearly been an "event", and does that include the SUPP money being lent to them..

I guess there might not be many "windows" when the Board are not effectively insiders with all the tumult of the legacy holdings, so the bridging announcement from Rutherford may have created one. Hopefully that buy is a good sign and other "insiders" will follow and put their hands in their pockets

SUPP loaning £3m of the potential £8m (if I've read it right), so RUTH isn't one of the ones they're abandoning.

15% interest, paid only when RUTH have successfully raised £40m or more, and 2nd charge on assets. 2nd charges rarely worth the paper they're written on IMO.

But RUTH gets to limp on:

"The Company intends to appoint an investment bank in due course to source additional long-term funding to strengthen the business as it grows revenues in its existing facilities. The Loan and the Proposed Facility will provide the Company with sufficient working capital for the period of the Loan while the Company sources additional long-term funding."

Edit - "Rutherford intends to appoint a strategic advisory firm to support its development of a growth orientated business plan going forward."
Good luck with that.

The 615k on the bid at 32.5p is an interesting order - only done 305k all day.

To johnwig,

If a poster has posted info that you disagree with [in this case jonwig], wouldn't it be logical to avoid confusion for readers by using a name that is different? I am sure this would help get your point across in a more measured and reasonable way, which is useful, if you want to be taken seriously.

zimmie - click on my username then on "View posts". You'll then get a flavour of the manner with which I communicate.

Do the same for the other one (#1144). Then, as the say, "Go Figure."

"His username is a deliberate provocation. Member since 2019, a troll, whereas I'm since 2004. Make up your own mind."

Well it's great to see that jonwig is clearly admitting to having been a troll since 2004. That about fits the bill. Seasoned but not particularly efficient at his diurnal task. That's why he and spectoacc are so happy to be Yorkshire buddies.

Or maybe it's because his grammar is, as ever, deficient. Either way it gives me neither pleasure nor pride to share a thread with such sanctimonious, unprincipled scoundrels.

Let's stick to commenting on the share. Nothing else has value.

If there are genuinely a dozen people taking a particular viewpoint, I suggest they make intelligent contributions in their individual names. After all, there is a pretty balanced range of views on the prospects for SUPP given the current price and discount, Additional individual analysis can only be welcome, should it exist.

zimmie - 1132, 1140 is filtered by me., and pays a fee to be un-bannable (blue colour).

His username is a deliberate provocation. Member since 2019, a troll, whereas I'm since 2004. Make up your own mind.

As for SpectoAcc, it's "He" and he's a serious investor. Not infallible (none of us are) but I respect him and his judgment.

I'm confused. There are two of you, how can that be? Who's moderating the board?

Extraordinary! Really!? Fair point, but he (she) is rather annoying though, isn't (s)he?

And (your) comment 1132?

No, I'm new to this board. You don't know me but it seems as if I know you all too well. Still not holding my breath.

Go to bed spotty!

Diversionary tactics, lots of green ticks. I wonder who that can be, as if I didn't know all along.

@Specto, also known as the fence-sitting Cap't Hindsight, you really are a sad, sorry plum!
Do you have any investments? Yes? Tell us, what should we be trusting our hard-earned dime to today? Let us see how good you really are.
I told you about ONT (now closed), SUPP, I've also recently bought Unite and JMAT, all doing nicely, thank you.
Your turn, impress us. If you don't mind, I won't be holding my breath.

No, I don't know how much ONT they'll sell, but very clearly they'll sell some - it's a hugely disproportionate holding, & they wanted out of more at the IPO price when it was much less disproportionate.

Tim & Roger's listed punts:

SPT - down
PHLL - down
JMAT - miles down

Views on each unlisted punt all posted above, but is no wonder they prefer them - in the private space, no one can hear you scream.

Neutral at 33p, that much should be obvious. So you can call me wrong either way. But I've done very well out of knowing SUPP so well.

Ridiculous post @spect. You have no idea how much of ONT will be sold (the earliest date for disposal is late March 22), by then ONT may well have made the case for them. I suspect though they will retain a sizeable position. Their picks so far look fine; both the listed and unlisted. Johnson Matthey decided to cease battery production, did you see that coming? Still looks a great company to me.

At 33 - are you a buyer or seller? That's the point.

Not sure I see it - SUPP planning to sell down ONT to punt on Tim & Roger's mainly unlisted tiny stakes (where mistakes can be better hidden). That won't help the mix.

But agree BenevolentAI switching to listed is a plus. Let's see what happens to RUTH this week, not that that's ever been listed except in name.
