23/9/2020 16:04 | The good thing is Invesco appear to be taking the same tack as ourselves. Need a nice write up in the Sunday papers/IC. | flyer61
23/9/2020 14:33 | Think I only want them to spend it all if they can keep buying this low. Have to wonder where we'd be without it - and if Invesco were still selling rather than having switched back to buying a few. | spectoacc
23/9/2020 07:50 | So under current authorisation limits, they can buy 77m shares, which at current prices, would roughly cost about 25m GBP, and equate to 15*0.25p - 3.75p a share. That's not bad at all. | llef
23/9/2020 07:04 | Indeed - may well give a running total each weekend. Currently 5.020m @ 31.56p, making an NAV contribution of £1.312m, ie 0.25p/share A good start, but as you say: "They need to keep going..." Which I'm sure they will! | skyship
22/9/2020 21:23 | Since buybacks began on 09/09/20, ~5M shares bought back. That will have lifted the NAV by ~0.4%. They need to keep going... | spin doctor
22/9/2020 21:00 | 22/09: 790k bought in @ 31.15p. Highest price paid 31.30p | skyship
21/9/2020 19:45 | Cheap buybacks first, then the higher share price ;) In fairness, they seem to be doing a good job of it so far. Assuming, that is, that they don't run out of firepower when we're at the high point of Covid. | spectoacc
21/9/2020 19:21 | llef likewise!! | nickrl
21/9/2020 19:05 | bit of a paradox really: i want the share price to remain low so that buybacks happen at the best possible price, but i also want teh share price to rise so that my holdings are worth more! | llef
21/9/2020 18:59 | 21/09: 740k bought in @ 31.62p. Highest price paid 31.75p | skyship
19/9/2020 11:57 | Thnx both of you. We didn't have those things when I worked as a broker; and the procedure had rather passed me by... | skyship
19/9/2020 10:01 | All auction trades are real, limit order on book will fill if limit price hit in auction | hindsight
19/9/2020 08:34 | 18/09: 54k bought in @ 31.81p. Highest price paid 31.90p. CC - Options expiry? How does that work? I do see that every listed company has a large UT trade at 16:35. Presumably no actual stock changing hands..... | skyship
18/9/2020 17:22 | Large trade is options expiry. Triple witching today | cc2014
18/9/2020 17:00 | & @ 31.40p - indeed, hoping that was a buyback... | skyship
18/9/2020 16:53 | 10.6m share trade just gone through. Do we think that's a buyback? I guess we will find out shortly... | rthak
18/9/2020 07:43 | Indeed, thnx EI. Have posted over on the CP+ thread, with acknowledgement. | skyship
18/9/2020 07:25 | Interesting, thanks. "This will stop recent momentum in negotiations of rent deferment plans." | spectoacc
18/9/2020 07:11 | Fitch Ratings sector comment: | essentialinvestor
17/9/2020 17:31 | 17/09: 264k bought in @ 32.04p. Highest price paid 32.45p. | skyship
17/9/2020 14:50 | They sold on 13th Aug at about 34p I think, so can at least be claiming to be buying back lower. However - curious that they can buy 1m+ shares, and the buyback average say half a million a day - so who's selling? | spectoacc
17/9/2020 14:45 | Agreed - bizarre. No Skinny, nothing to do with the buybacks - genuinely upped their stake by 1.2m shares! | skyship
17/9/2020 14:30 | Let's hope the latter! :-) | skinny
17/9/2020 14:26 | Logic says yes, reporting that they've been pushed over a 1% threshold. But... this RNS says they have 72.309m shares, last Holdings RNS was 71.1m. So not only is the buyback not mopping up Investec's holding, they're seemingly adding. Could either be that they've had decent fund inflows (unlikely!) and are adding proportionately, or that they've seen the light. | spectoacc |
