The good thing is Invesco appear to be taking the same tack as ourselves. Need a nice write up in the Sunday papers/IC.

Think I only want them to spend it all if they can keep buying this low.

Have to wonder where we'd be without it - and if Invesco were still selling rather than having switched back to buying a few.

So under current authorisation limits, they can buy 77m shares, which at current prices, would roughly cost about 25m GBP, and equate to 15*0.25p - 3.75p a share.
That's not bad at all.

Indeed - may well give a running total each weekend.

Currently 5.020m @ 31.56p, making an NAV contribution of £1.312m, ie 0.25p/share

A good start, but as you say: "They need to keep going..." Which I'm sure they will!

Since buybacks began on 09/09/20, ~5M shares bought back.
That will have lifted the NAV by ~0.4%.

They need to keep going...

Cheap buybacks first, then the higher share price ;) In fairness, they seem to be doing a good job of it so far. Assuming, that is, that they don't run out of firepower when we're at the high point of Covid.

bit of a paradox really: i want the share price to remain low so that buybacks happen at the best possible price, but i also want teh share price to rise so that my holdings are worth more!

Thnx both of you. We didn't have those things when I worked as a broker; and the procedure had rather passed me by...

All auction trades are real, limit order on book will fill if limit price hit in auction

CC - Options expiry? How does that work?

I do see that every listed company has a large UT trade at 16:35.

Presumably no actual stock changing hands.....

10.6m share trade just gone through. Do we think that's a buyback? I guess we will find out shortly...

They sold on 13th Aug at about 34p I think, so can at least be claiming to be buying back lower. However - curious that they can buy 1m+ shares, and the buyback average say half a million a day - so who's selling?

Agreed - bizarre. No Skinny, nothing to do with the buybacks - genuinely upped their stake by 1.2m shares!

Logic says yes, reporting that they've been pushed over a 1% threshold. But... this RNS says they have 72.309m shares, last Holdings RNS was 71.1m.

So not only is the buyback not mopping up Investec's holding, they're seemingly adding.

Could either be that they've had decent fund inflows (unlikely!) and are adding proportionately, or that they've seen the light.
