I am a new investor in SAV. What finally convinced me to take a punt, long term I add, was the quote from Matos Fernandes:

"Without being able to predict the results” of the study, Matos Fernandes said he applauded the professionalism of the proposal. “There’s a huge difference between this developer and the lax attitude shown by others.”

Additionally, I am encouraged by the fact that the Portuguese government still has a stake in Galp Energia.

By his own words, it is obvious that Matos Fernandes likes SAV and was impressed with the EIA. Although there will be objections to the proposed mine from some, I am confident that eventually the Barroso project will be approved. Portugal is in desperate need of an economic boost. Their national debt is running at 130% of gdp which is unsustainable. Portugal needs the economic benefits that a lithium mine will bring, at the same time there will be more funds generated to protect the natural environment surrounding Barroso.

It's a no brainer for Portugal.

Interesting EU summit in Porto on Friday hailed
as a turning point

All participants committed to invest whatever
it takes to create well paid jobs allied partly
to the the new 'sustainable' economy.
Was looking at the profile of the villages again
around MDB, hardly any children are being born
just the aging population mostly left, unless
something changes these villages will die out.
Sorely tempted to add another million shares
tomorrow, against that SAV seems to be a binary
bet, the EIA gets approved the share should
double? 8p, EIA gets rejected, SAV will only
have a token value.
Basically your getting even money for a
1/5 shot, the odds are in our favour but you
cant take anything for granted.
often people late to the party benefit in these
situations I know LTH have had it rough.
all the above is my own opinion, could well
be wrong in my assessment.

Interesting things hotting up though.

EDIT - its been pasted on the BCN site now.

When Galp took 10%, he stated that this was an initial holding in the project and that this would change in the future as the relationship developed and widened (auctions / Northvolt).

Added a further million shares today so
4 million shares all in my Isa at an
overall average of 3.91p this week.
personally feel with the raise the share
should be around 4.5p but at least the
share is showing signs of life today.
was going to add more if it went to 3.5p
but that seems unlikely now.
hopefully it will be a nice and relaxing
share to hold over the summer until news

Mdb in production 2022. Will supply 15% of total EU Li demand by 2025 with aim to increase this with potential increasing mines. EU institutions bought into Sav at last equity raise.

I don't think the RNS was ever intended to be a 'This is amazing' headline grabbing item. Not all RNSs are for that purpose. Most are very boring (no pun given this is a mining stock).

Watching the DA presentation yesterday he said on that SAV was looking at a new ESG policy, etc. Maybe it should have just been a RNS Reach item instead.

As I've asked before, what is the expected MCap for SAV in near term (22/23)? I've said about 225/275mn. So plenty of room for share price growth. IF you think that this MCap will only be reached by 2-3 times dilution, then why worry about what is happening with SAV. Invest somewhere else.

Bacanora news

The Bacanora Independent Directors and Ganfeng International Trading (Shanghai) Limited ("Ganfeng") are pleased to announce that Bacanora Lithium PLC ("Bacanora") and Ganfeng have entered into an agreement dated 6 May 2021 (the "Offer Agreement") regarding the terms of a possible cash offer by Ganfeng for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of Bacanora, other than that which it already owns, at a price of 67.5 pence per Bacanora Share (the "Offer Price") (the "Possible Offer").

Sadly I don't have any of them, could mean some investors move across to these.

Purchased 3 million shares since Tuesday for
my ISA(ave 3.94p) happy to hold, hopefully got a
bargain.Interesting quotes from Portugal's energy
minister joao galama at yesterdays green mining
conference,
"the irony of those who oppose mining aid those
who want to keep the status quo"(i.e those who
don't want the transition to clean energy)
"mining is a precondition to human life without
mining there is no life"

the share is pretty friendless at the moment
perhaps I could of been more patient and got in lower time will tell, looking forward to DA
presentation tonight.

Been holding for a long, long time. Far too long some might say. Could have followed the story without any holding and watched the up and downs with no thought or care to the corporate costs.Broken promises? If they are not given in the first place, then difficult to break. Unfulfilled expectations affected by events or circumstance. Finland a red herring. Oman, a disappointment that may prove up in time for those with more patience. Moz, smouldering and may well be set to fire up in coming weeks/ months. Portugal, set fair.

RNS certainly set the share price on fire, it's gradually burning itself out.

At least it looks like they are taking companies from Portugal on board, which can't be a bad thing. They understand the government procedures better etc.

With the ESG commitments, It cleanses the share so fund managers can hold the share knowing from outset that it complies whilst giving exposure to raw material mining in the EV space. Also it confirms SAV as a suitable partner for OEMs, battery makers, industrial conglomerates as they look to establish and maintain their own ESG pedigree so that their own shares can be held by fund managers or even SWFs.The longer term relevance should not be missed.

The video mentions Tesla having concerns on a Li shortage and wanting mines multiple times, including how the giga factory in Berlin will face a Li shortage.

Stocks linked to Lithium should be moving higher.
