08/2/2024 12:41 | Loss of £0.6m? Not according to the 10th Jan RNS; "As a result, reported FY23 revenue is now expected to be materially lower than previous expectations* at approximately £10m. There will also be a corresponding impact on reported FY23 loss before tax due to the delay and also the additional resources and cost in advancing the project. * Current consensus analyst forecasts are for FY23 revenues of £13.0 million and an adjusted loss before tax of £6.0 million." They lost £1.8m in the first half alone and that was inclusive of a £1.3m R&D tax credit. Bearing in mind they raised £20m in the IPO, I find it hard to believe none of those investors will be willing to double down. However, if they do intend to support the company they are definitely playing hardball. May mean they have to go down the Peterhouse special route, placing flippers and all. Certainly not one I'd want to hold overnight given goings on at the likes of Rua, HE1 etc... | 74tom
08/2/2024 12:34 | On the positive side, Sondrel seems to have excellent technical and management quality, a very strong niche in the market, and the potential for significant revenue growth coming from its US pipeline of $100m. There is no debt today. The problem from their last interim results is that their margin is relatively small at 10-20%, they are still losing substantial amounts of money proportional to the company size, and that they ultimately have no cash left. So there will definitely be a placing in the coming few weeks, and I suspect that it may well be in the next few days, to take advantage of the spike. I think they will realistically need to raise £10m to allow themselves a runway to reach profitability by say 2025. The only question is - what price the placing? I would add that there were clearly a number of people took Siemens' 11% of the company at 6p in December - because there was no TR1 for major holdings. So there will be a major overhang of shares from those holders cashing in a very nice 100-200% profit in just a few weeks. Place your bets gentlemen :-) | cyberbub
