I really miss links, I wonder why he doesn't post here anymor ? he used to cheer me up no end with his tales. I remember him posting he had managed to get his average price down to 200p then it fell to 30p, that really cheered me up.

the reason links doesn't post here any more he sold at the equivalent of £38, it took him several years to remember, it's so easy to forget something like that.
Where as u sound really desperate and seem to blame me for your desperation, guess the penny has dropped about Nigeria, if u have a big salary and a shed load of options its win, win, unlike the pi's where it always has been lose, lose.

this is my last comment for a while on the subject, I never lost 90k, jedi suffers from the same problem as others on this board and made the topic up, think he got confused between me and someone who actually posted they lost 90k.
IF I lost 90k on SLE, I didn't but lets pretend that I did.
my portfolio is always equal weight so if I bought 100k of SLE, I wish !! it stands that I bought a 100k of NPE and made 250k so I would still be 150k to the good.
If only.
Of course let that be a warning to others that sl1nky doesn't find it surprising that anyone could lose 90k with SLE shares !!

Outlook

This has been a period of intense activity for the Company as we look to continue to deliver our strategy and prove up our extensive shale gas and conventional acreage; and during this period of intense activity the Company has made significant progress.

Our drilling programme has continued to deliver with successful results seen in both the Baltic and the Southern Permian basins in Poland, further proving up the plays and potential of these regions. The Company has also continued its policy of managing risk with the conclusion of the farm out process in Morocco, bringing in Genel and Cairn whilst still retaining significant exposure to the upside potential. Other farm outs are currently on-going and the Company hope to be able to announce similar deals in the near future.

San Leon has built up a highly attractive portfolio of assets across Europe and North Africa and is one of the leading shale gas players in Europe by acreage. Whilst shale gas remains uncertain for many, the Company believes that there is incredible potential across Europe and is confident that it will become a significant resource in the future.

San Leon is ideally placed to maximise this, whilst also having a portfolio of conventional assets which again hold significant potential. The Company's strategy is to prove up these assets, whilst continuing to manage risk across our portfolio and deliver value to our shareholders. San Leon has the assets, the technical expertise and the partners to deliver this.

Settlement with Avobone

On 7 November 2016, Avobone N.V. and Avobone Poland B.V. ("Avobone") (together, "Avobone") and San Leon Energy Plc ("San Leon") settled a number of ongoing disputes between them and between Avobone and certain of San Leon's subsidiaries, including Aurelian Oil & Gas Limited, Aurelian Oil & Gas Poland Sp. z.o.o, Energia Zachod Holdings Sp. z.o.o and AOG Finance Limited, in Poland, Netherlands, Ireland, England & Wales in respect of various matters including a final award in an ICC arbitration dated 21 May 2015. The total settlement of EUR23.3 million plus interest to be paid to Avobone by San Leon will be paid as follows, with EUR2.0 million being paid by 21 November 2016, EUR8.0 million by 28 April 2017, EUR8.0 million by 16 October 2017 and EUR5.3 million by 30 December 2017. Interest will accrue at a rate of 5% per annum on instalments until paid.

The provision made in the 2015 audited accounts for the Avobone dispute was approximately EUR20.6 million. The difference been the settlement figure and the provision is due to interest, exchange rate fluctuations, and further legal costs.

San Leon is confident that this settlement will not affect the previously-announced capital distribution policy, whereby 50% of free cash flow from San Leon's interest in the OML 18 asset will be returned to shareholders via either share buybacks or dividends for five years.

................

oh yes it will if the Irish court considers that the creditor Avobone will be put at risk, could be 2018 before they get permission. a lot of water to flow under a lot of bridges before they get consent ?

looks as that's the reason for the sale IMO, otherwise the Irish court may think it's some giant ponzi scheme.

The Company is well-advanced in reviewing the steps required to effect a capital reorganization which is required to allow such distributions.

..............

until they carry out the above SLE are not allowed, by law, to pay any dividends, so maybe best to wait to see if they do/don't. if they don't they can still carry out share buybacks.

Let's make a price.
I'll give you all of ten francs,
Just think of that!

It pays a debt

Just think of that

What can I do?
It pays a debt.
Ten francs may save my poor Cosette!
