I wouldnt imagine that Noble Investments ought to be valued at very much more than the face value of the coins that they hold.

Honestly, what value can there possibly be in listing a hobby? Unless of course they have discovered El Dorado or Atlantis.

Dreamers.....

In that case I expect the new shares to go up in value when they come back on. I think anyone who buys in first thing will be surprised how much money they will make. Could be another RSV, PPB or HMD. All those this month more than doubled for people who bought in after they relisted.

Another one on my watchlist is Voss Net, should be back on the market within a month.

They are back onto the market. You are almost right in your figures. For each 100 shares you held @ 0.4p, you now have one share, that you can currently sell at 32p. That equates to 20% (Loss).

How are you going to break that to your mum?

Im in @0.4p, looks like I will make 25% when they come back onto the market at 50p, as mentioned earlier in the thread.

My average price on my few Noble investment's is £6.20 per share !!!
I suppose I could average down for a few hundred quid but what's the point ?
This vehicle will inevitably go under after three or four years of keeping it's director's in pin money .
Why do they need all these director's ? Was Roger Newton an authority on rare coins all this time only masquerading as an engineer ??
The only thing in this for old DM holders is the opportunity to loose more money .

According to my broker, for each 5000 old SMK shares held of nominal value 1p each, you will receive 1 new SMK share valued at 50p each.

Also, they're proposing to change the name to, wait for it, Noble Investments plc.

Can't wait for my 5 shares.

mark,

If you really do want to see a poss day/week trade then have a look at AVA, seriously undervalued (unlike SMK, sadly)

apologies to everyone else

Very apt we have a Dell on this thread especially when the

Mark - if you read back through this thread, all the info you need is there, including a link to the circular which is the official explanation.

In brief, new shares are placed at 23p.
You will get 1 new share for every 100 existing shares you have but only for multiples of 5000, as they are consolidating to get rid of small holders.

i.e if you currently have 65750 shares you get 650 new shares and they sell the 750 remaining old shares for you and give you the proceeds.

Mark - I'll have a go:

The shares are twice what you can probably effectively buy them for, when the new shares are issued.
They have a business plan which seems to be selling a coin collection that they are going to pay current valuation for.
The directors don't appear to be very good at running companies, based on previous performance.

Did that help?
