anyone having access to graphs of seven years ago, will see that in 2000 it did rocket up to a dizzy 800p, no doubt a rumour or failed take over.

Or just one of many stocks to become overvaled in the dotcom boom?

Lyntwyn,

Yep, whadyareckon? Will he ride it up to 300 or bail-out at 265 and compound the grief?

I think UBS is being rather cautious when they suggest 285p as a target price, I think it will go beyond that in the med-term. anyone having access to graphs of seven years ago, will see that in 2000 it did rocket up to a dizzy 800p, no doubt a rumour or failed take over.

Sage received more support from brokers today as UBS lifted the shares to 'buy'
from 'neutral', with price target up to 285p from 265p.

The Swiss broker sees good growth opportunities as many US customers plan to upgrade their physician practice management systems as they buy electronic medical record products. It also sees UK and European markets, which account for 56% of Sage's EBIT, remaining healthy.

Lyntwyn,

Good spot. The performance of Sage in the US always appears to be uppermost in Analysts minds. Whatever problems there are they appear to be limited to the US market and no doubt will be resolved. It looks like a classic market over reaction; and a good opportunity for the contrarian investor.

SAGE HOLDERS

LEVEL2 has only a small value to the average investor, nevertheless I think it would be used more if the price was more like £18 monthly, In the US many brokers provide it free to all their investors. What is your opinion, would you, like me consider subscribing to it at around £18.

Sage has done the 225 bit. They should change the heading to + £2.80. I bought 5,000 this morning at 2.3049. I hear that this is a likely takeover target in the next 12 months. I also hear they have appointed a new guy as a director for Strategy and Mergers and Aquisitions. All very interesting.

The chart implies we are on our way back to 280.
