LONDON-- Payments services provider MoneySwap PLC (SWAP.LN) Monday said it has launched a partnership with software company Sage Group PLC's (SGE.LN) payments subsidiary to enable Chinese tourists to easily pay for things in the U.K. by card.
"Under the partnership, Sage Pay, in association with MoneySwap, enables Sage Pay's high street retailers and small and medium sized businesses to benefit from the Asian tourist market as they will be able to accept payments from Chinese visitors who want to pay with their existing UnionPay cards," MoneySwap said.
UnionPay is a Chinese bank card association, similar to Visa Inc. (V) in the West.
Shares at 1122 GMT, up 2.5%, at 1 pence valuing the company at GBP12.3 million ($19 million).
