Schwab Launches Unique Schwab.com Film Series With CEO Chuck
Schwab
'On the Side of the Investor' Reveals Schwab Founder's Continued Passion for
Helping Individual Investors Through Documentary-Style Interviews
SAN FRANCISCO, May 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Charles Schwab Corporation
has launched a unique series of filmed "conversations" on schwab.com with its
Founder and CEO Charles R. Schwab, who shares his views on a range of investing
and industry topics.
"These interviews get to the heart of Chuck Schwab's passion for investing and
helping investors reach their goals," said Becky Saeger, Schwab's Chief
Marketing Officer. "With a 30-year record of innovation and advocacy for
individual investors, who better than Chuck Schwab to reassure the American
public that investing can still play a key role in helping people achieve
financial security?"
Produced by Euro RSCG New York and directed by prominent photographer and
cinematographer Albert Watson, "On the Side of the Investor" launched with
seven interview segments. Investors are being directed to the film by national
print and online banner advertisements. The ads contain excerpts from the
interviews, designed to entice people to click-through and view more or to
direct them to schwab.com. New interview segments will be added in the future.
"Chuck Schwab built a new kind of brokerage business challenging the industry
on behalf of the investor with his credibility, candor and confidence in the
future," said David Jones, CEO of Euro RSCG New York. "These online films
demonstrate his financial straight talk and common sense approach to investing
and will be a beacon in a crowded category where consumers are not sure who's
really on their side."
The print advertisements will be placed strategically in key publications,
including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Investor's Business
Daily and Barron's. Online banners will run on key web sites and portals
including Yahoo!Finance, MSN Money, CNN.com, MSNBC.com, MarketWatch and
WSJ.com.
Saeger pointed out that there's clearly an appetite for hearing from the
company's leader given the strong "opt-in" response from recent online
campaigns.
"These videos offer an intimate flavor of Chuck Schwab, providing the industry
leadership that's so needed today," Saeger said. "It's hard in the confines of
traditional advertising to spend the appropriate amount of time that these
important topics require. This online interview approach takes optimum
advantage of the medium to help demonstrate what sets Schwab apart, what it
stands for, and how the company remains committed to helping individual
investors and advisors who serve them."
