17/2/2012 11:20 | EI - Presumably you are aware that they looked at moving to AIM last year, but after consulting with shareholders they abandoned the idea. If they couldn't get a transfer to AIM through, then a straightforward delisting just ain't going to happen. At least not without making a full takeover offer for the outstanding shares, which would be a strong positive rather than a concern! Besides, in the statement today, the wording makes clear that they value their minority shareholders, something that you don't often see in trading statements. | chrisg
17/2/2012 10:43 | The only possible concern is that they may eventually decide to delist. I am not sure why they need to be listed imv and pay out dividends to others when they could keep the lot in the Family. With their record raising capital if needed as a private company would be easy. | essentialinvestor
17/2/2012 10:16 | A cumulative 205p in dividends in the last 6 financial years. | gorse
17/2/2012 08:07 | Once again exceeded expectations - If only most of my investments were as successful AND as well managed as S&U | pugugly
17/2/2012 07:57 | Excellent t/s - again! Shares will continue to be wanted - £10 this year? | philjeans
09/12/2011 17:28 | Well done S&U. Keep it coming! | plasybryn
09/12/2011 09:05 | Very solid business - nice to be in here. | philjeans
09/12/2011 08:16 | And rewarded with a whopping 5p increase in the share price :-) Still it was a very reassuring statement that contrasts with many others these days, so long term fundamentals firmly intact. | cwa1
09/12/2011 07:43 | Doesn't get much better than that these days :-) | cwa1
09/12/2011 07:36 | A most reassuring IMS - Term loan paid back early - strenthened balance sheet - business expanding and wite-offs down - Can one ask for more in these troubled times ? | pugugly
11/11/2011 13:49 | Dividend day! | plasybryn
23/9/2011 10:38 | Charles Stanley only have an estimate of 37p Divi for the year (Target Price 700p). | taylor20
23/9/2011 09:30 | The first of three divis is now known and is increased by 10%. Have we any indication yet what to expect for the full year? | jadeticl
22/9/2011 13:57 | I see you found the right thread after all - even if it was twice. | the big fella
22/9/2011 10:22 | Three dividends this year, and three dividends to come in 2012: "As usual, we intend making further dividend payments in both March and June next year." | gorse
22/9/2011 10:17 | The earlier talk of going onto AIM presented a great buying opportunity. There is no reason why it shouldn't now get back to it's original trajectory - first stop £7! | plasybryn
22/9/2011 10:13 | Yes, good results. My only share showing green this morning! 8-( Far from worries over the state of the economy, this company has become almost contra-cyclical. With banks having less liquidity and tightening their lending criteria, many more people must be turning to the likes of SUS for funding and they seem to be doing a good job of controlling their risk profile and reducing gearing. | jeffian
22/9/2011 10:05 | Yes solid results and nice further drop in gearing. Very pleased with increased dividend and nice to have a stock tick up on such a bleak day. Confirms there is a point in equity investing! Well done to the BofD & all the employees. | plasybryn |
