Goes with saying with 85% rev $, but "Exposure to the US Dollar is more balanced as the Group has dollar debt and dollar revenues."They also have a very good Euro hedge in place.DD

Big $ content in Group revenues (and a lot of $ interest)
RNS says notwithstanding a strong $ forecasts are being met

FWIW forward was 26 as of 14/2/17 on central analyst projections for 2018 so on a 13% discount compared to a year ago. (I have a print of an old Morningstar note).

Forward PE 23, PEG 0.8, what's not to like?. The fall in the last month was overdone and went into value territory IMO, hence picked some up at 372. Would not say Q1 fx headwinds equates to a profit warning.DD

Agreed, sit on your hands time during a period of digestion.

Don't think so. What's important is the forward PE. Mild profit warning and share price will tread water for 3-4 months unless there is corporate activity which is unlikely given reference to integration period.

In Line AGM update today.

US exchange rate headwinds mentioned but these are hardly a surprise.

More importantly:

"The current financial year has started well....."

"the Board is confident of further substantial progress in 2018.....".

As good as we could have hoped for after Q1.

I've added too Oxman (since 25th Jan) in equal tranches - 425p 413p 395p 387p - so I know how you feel! It is below the 2 and 3 year trend line which I believe gives you an share price of around 440-450p, provided of course the Co continues to "deliver". Even today the bid has picked up from 360 to 380p. This stock is my second largest holding and, assuming no performance surprises to the downside, will continue to be a long term hold for me.

Added at 420p. That was a mistake. Seems to have been hit hard recently.

Not sure about your "debt" comment. RWS is hugely cash-generative, most of which is reinvested in acquisitions for growth. It had "Net debt at year end of £20.2m (2016: £1.5m), after the £74.8m cost of the acquisitions of LUZ and Article One Partners "AOP" and the £40.0m gross proceeds from the placing in February 2017". I imagine the figure you quote is a snapshot in time after the acquisition of Moravia in October, for which they took out a $160m facility for 5 years.

Trading on x18 MCAP (1.2bn) v PBT eFY18 (65m)

SP close to Placing Price 425p - Oct 17

Debt ~ $175m (not so small anymore) but still < x3 PBT

"The Group has made a strong start in the first two months of the new financial year, in line with our expectations that we will continue to build upon the record levels established in 2017"

AGM update on 12th Feb

Bought in this morning in anticipation of good news at the AGM

comp - I don't think you'd get a much more positive comment than that - but as always, DYOR.

"IC View
At 26 times forecast earnings, RWS's shares are trading ahead of their two-year average of 24 times. However, the group’s growth has been impressive, and with patent filings continuing to rise and the Moravia acquisition opening up both a new sector and cross-selling opportunities with big name clients, there is still plenty of upside potential ahead. Combine this with low debt and a slew of recent analyst upgrades and we are convinced. Buy."

IC rarely use the word "convinced" so I guess this may be a good one to enter when the share price is low. Does anyone got any view on this?

Thanks. 2018 similar to what I expected. Given the rapid rate that the Moravia business has been growing at, hopefully the expectations for 2019 might rise as the acquisition is successfully integrated.

Someone asked a while ago about Numis’ forecasts. They are forecasting sales of £310m, PBT of £65m and eps of 17.7p for 2018. For 2019, forecasts are sales of £342m, £70m PBT and eps of 19p. No doubt these are probably on the conservative side.
