I agree - excellent statement today. Highlight for me:

'RWS continues to generate a high level of cash and we now expect to return the Group to a net cash position quicker than previously anticipated.'

Above statement suggests very good cash flow which is the real measure of a business.


Also, debt facility amended on 'materially better terms' - looks like the company is on the look out for acquisitions:

'...whilst continuing to identify acquisition opportunities that will enhance the Group's geographic coverage or range of services provided.'

All IMHO.

There has been talk during the year of the company looking for opportunities in the east, perhaps into China. If so, perhaps the current coronavirus epidemic may be thought to be holding things up. On the other hand, it could work the other way: there may be a greater need to translate into various Chinese languages and dialects instructions for using medical and other related products. Furthermore, as the company makes great use of intellectual and language skills, perhaps many of the necessary translation tasks can be carried out without the need for staff to travel.

Just some stray thoughts. But whether or not there is any positive or negative China effect, I have taken the opportunity to add at what seem to me low prices.

Very curious share price weakness in recent days - but was an opportunity to add to my holding at a substantial discount to recent highs and broker targets.A strong statement at the AGM tomorrow from the Chair could, I believe, substantially reverse recent falls-but whatever, this still feels like a great stock to hold medium/long term.

Also RWS record results have been announced on a bad day for the wider market..

high volatility stocks will bear the brunt of falls on days when the market dives..

A bad day for the market has crowded out the good results (great results even.. ) released today.
