16/9/2003 22:58 | RPS Share price is proportional to the growth in red tape constraining industry. My money is on the growth in red tape. | tommy ten chins
15/9/2003 08:15 | well mid-sixties now. I expect a check back to 160p to test it for support, then onto 200p before december results? depends on the general market, but a good summer, price -wise. looking for a chance to add. | artful dodger
31/8/2003 14:10 | pushing against march 2001 support/resistance of 160p If we can break this, it's time to buy more as we should then test all time high of 210p Profit and Loss Account 31 Dec 1999 31 Dec 2000 31 Dec 2001 31 Dec 2002 turnover 32.38 57.40 74.77 105 pre tax profit 6.20 8.53 11.83 14.26 eps - basic 3.14 3.69 4.45 5.25 p eps - diluted 3.08 3.58 4.35 5.18 p | artful dodger
01/8/2003 15:03 | R P S post another fine set of results - todays Investors Chronicle thinks the share price has gone far enough but if another (european)acquisitio near then the downside should be limited barring a big rights issue. | eljim
29/7/2003 17:29 | Until the brains show up... I've held these since early 2000 and the 4-year chart will show that the performance in this period has been somewhat less than stellar - certainly not up to the 4-fold rise in share price that preceded. But battling against the worst bear market for 30 years - what else was to be expected? RPS's underlying performance in this period has been every bit as impressive as that throughout the late 90's. Turnover/profit/EPS are all now far higher following steady and incremental growth and now the company stands in the FTSE250. My view of RPS has not changed. A great long term hold. | dull gull
29/7/2003 15:43 | time to add a new thread on this poorly followed company. I hold these in my SIPP. Growing profits, increasing dividend, good exposure to a growing sector-environmental consultancy. Some indigestion from recent acquisitions but the flow of legislation from Brussels should keep this company in clover for some time. Any thoughts from the brains out there? dodger LONDON (AFX) - RPS Group PLC, an environmental consultancy, said first half to June pretax profit before goodwill amortisation increased 22 pct to 10.36 mln, as operating margin rose to 17.3 pct from 16.5 the previous year. Earnings per share pre-goodwill increased 24 pct to 4.12. RPS said it sees the opportunities for RPS to continue growing remain good. The company said it is seeing significant benefits from the continued integration of its businesses in Ireland, which it sees being completed in the first half of 2004. Meanwhile, it intends to strengthen its Dutch presence by making further acquisitions, while it will also simplify the corporate structure there and fully rebrand all businesses in order to integrate all of its activities. Net assets as at June 30 amounted to 115.8 mln stg, including 28.1 mln of cash, compared with 107.1 mln as at June 30, 2002. The board increased the interim dividend 16 pct to 0.88 pence, to be paid on October 23. newsdesk@afxnews.com rf/ | artful dodger

I have these in my SIPP as a long hold with increasing dividend and good exposure to environmental legislation (streaming out of brussels..) The only way to make money from burocracy, apart from take a post there myself.....I shudder at the thought. dodger | artful dodger
29/7/2003 08:08 | Interims look good to me. Profit +22%, EPS +25%, Div up 16% - all this and good prospects too. Anyone see any negatives? Might they over do the opportunities for acquisition for example? | trader2
17/6/2003 09:14 | RPS an evironmentally friendly company with good institutional support (Fidelity 8% Aviva 7% Scottish Widows 6% Standard Life 5% Jupiter 5%) 15% dividend growth low yield but dividend cover 4 times + and 40% capital appreciation since end March. Not bad eh ? There have been some acquisitions which may slow down growth but the record so far is pretty good IMHO | eljim
28/5/2003 10:03 | yes i do and i am holding a serious loss on them, the results look good but its on a demanding pe still they look a steady hold but unexciting the only enviromental stock quoted i am told! not a very busy BB though | jakes114
