Trading update due over the next few weeks.Recovered strongly from 100p lows in June last year but I still believe the business is worth up to 250p leaving plenty of upside.

Here’s something to think about:

John Douglas (CEO of RPS) was MD of Coffey when they were acquired by Tetra Tech in late 2015.

As we know Tetra Tech acquired WYG earlier this year for a big premium.

Looking at the Tetra Tech annual report earlier today they have sales of $US2.5b and operating income of $US 1b.

Current leverage is 0.6 x (net debt/EBITDA) so they have plenty in the tank.

They have acquired UK and Aussie businesses and of course are US based themselves. RPS work across all 3 geographies so there are plenty of synergies as TT look to increase their International environmental and infrastructure exposure.

What are the odds of Tetra Tech, who clearly state they are acquisitive, buying RPS for say £500m.

You heard it here first.....!

Nearly go to 170p yesterday which was my initial fair value figure so it's quite amusing that it's sold off today.I was expecting to see 170p after a year or so (from June 19) so clearly there is buying interest and the business is doing well all things considered.200-220p is where this should be and I expect after a positive update in January it won't be far away.

Yes it seems recently as if Mr Market had thought better of his bullish run up from 100p to the 150p area and then realised today that the sell off was unwarranted. Next trading update possibly early Feb or if not then prelims later in Feb or early March.Hoping they can pay down some of the debt and ease off any further acquisitions unless very selective.
