26/6/2019 20:08 | RPS was a darling for me for many years and at one time I thought I would hold it for ever. It has had problems for some time - no eps growth over the last ten years (or rather growth and then decline and stasis). This is mainly I think because of the problems in the oil and gas industries. I recently decided to buy back a few and today I doubled down at 96p and 99p. It just seemed to me that these are crazy prices. 10% dividend. Will they cut it? Perhaps, but not massively: gearing is only 20%. Latest eps estimates on stockopedia, which I think are today's, are for 15p (was 16.3p) eps this this and 16.4p (was 17.7p) next year. This is a company of some size and weight in the sector - it's not going to disappear just yet. Perhaps oil and gas will recover. Patience needed... | westcountryboy

26/6/2019 09:08 | Seems to be suffering from the same problems on most outsourced contractors - Looks like the whole outsourced sector is out of favour - Cannot see much short-term recover opportunities. (Or am I being too harsh?) | pugugly
26/6/2019 08:37 | I'm surprised at the generally very low level of interest in RPS, even before today's news. It was once a real stock-market darling. f | fillipe

14/2/2019 09:41 | Montanaro Asset Management target 250p As a result of the restructuring costs, earnings per share on an adjusted basis are expected to be flat in 2018 and 2019 at 17p. The shares fell by 30pc to 150p when the plans were announced. “We are now left with a decent, cash‑generativ | bigwavedave

25/10/2018 09:08 | Results look slightly disappointing but not enough for a 30% price fall. Outlook for FY-2018: The Board's expectations for FY-2018 are that fee income will be slightly above FY-2017 at constant currency, and PBTA will be slightly below. The Board anticipates that fee income will be marginally below market expectations*; whilst PBTA will be below market expectations. The Board reiterates the previously stated dividend policy and accordingly expects the dividend for the full year to be in line with the previous year. | deadly
06/3/2018 23:24 | Interesting price action. Takeover target? | matt123d
06/3/2018 23:22 | Not sure either. Maybe a delayed reaction to the Results? Happy days anyway. Hopefully it continues and pushes back through the £3 line where it belongs | matlad

01/2/2018 09:31 | We've been here before. This is a great buying opportunity. Basically the Energy business has near zero value but the rest of the businesses have a growing value of more than 300p. The impairment charge is a non cash item and simply recognises the reality about the energy business - a reality that has been known for a couple of years at least. | barnesian
15/1/2018 18:54 | Would be great if it could. Nearly did it today. | 57eady eddie |
