16/12/2013 11:34 | Quiet here, innit?! Well today's news seems to have been well received by the market. I like the use of the word "significant" in the sentence "The Acquisition is expected to be significantly earnings enhancing for the Group in the next financial year ending 31 March 2015." It's been a great long term buy-and-hold for me and I expect that to continue. | jeffian

28/3/2013 15:37 | jeffian - interesting thoughts - even so, a bit of selling at the first sign of hesitation has caused a bigger drop than I'd have thought. So, if all else is sound, a great buying-in level I'm thinking - I'll give it thought and look at the fundamentals over the weekend. | donaferentes
28/3/2013 14:55 | "I'm surprised at the extent of the fall - more usually assoicated with a significant dividend cut." I've held for some time and increased my holding a number of times over the past few years. I'm NOT surprised by today's fall. Look at the graph in the header above. Even better, look at the 5-year chart. This share has been a 4-bagger since late 2009 and was riding at all-time highs. I think it was inevitable that some of those profits would be banked at the first sign of a slowdown (particularly with 5 April looming). I'd have been worried if it was on a very high PER, but at this price it is still fairly lowly-rated with a reasonable divi yield, so I'll just be riding it out as I think the long-term prospects remain good, but I can see why others may sell. | jeffian
28/3/2013 14:43 | Woodcutter - master of the understatement! I don't know this company, although have been tracking its share price over the last couple of months as a seemingly successful and progressive FTSE250 company. I'm surprised at the extent of the fall - more usually assoicated with a significant dividend cut. I can't see that happening, given the maintained profit level, reference to good cashflow and good cover of 2.5X. Is it the loss of Ron Marsh? But that must have been on the cards for a while. Besides after 24 years new blood is probably a little bit overdue. Is the CFO stepping up to CEO the right choice? The new CFO looks good on paper. As you say, it might be a gift waiting for the taking if you have spare funds around. | donaferentes
28/3/2013 08:00 | Not a great trading statement so i would expect a fall at open this morning. Depending on where it settles i could be interested in picking up some for the long term. WC | woodcutter
