Romag extends glass ceiling
By David Blackwell

Published: December 13 2007 02:00 | Last updated: December 13 2007 02:00

Romag increased annual sales of its photovoltaic architectural glass by 40 per cent, lifting the product's contribution to total sales to 40 per cent.

Lyn Miles, chief executive, said the move towards PowerGlaz was improving overall margins and a further two production lines were scheduled to open next year, doubling capacity.

Total sales rose £1m to £17.4m in the year to September 30 as pre-tax profits increased from £1.9m to £2.8m.

Earnings per share rose from 3.1p to 4.7p and the proposed final dividend of 0.75p will lift the total pay-out for the year 15 per cent to 1.15p.

The shares - priced at 170p for a placing that raised £7.3m in July - closed up 24½p at 240½p. David Blackwell

THE FTSE 100 index ended the day in positive territory yesterday, rising by 22.9 points to close at 6559.8.

In addition, Romag extended its Solar Global Alliance Agreement with BP for another two years.

Keep a sharp eye on this as something's up ,the spread at 1p is unusal and after 20000 sales and no buys didn't move. Was quoted 240.25 to sell 50000! It's either a tip or something much better.Hold tight to your shares.

The 6% sales growth is low because I think they were already at capacity. With a tripling of capacity this year sales growth should not be impeded.

I hold but I agree the 6% sales growth is more concerning than a 44% uplift in reported profits.
We need to know the PowerGlaz sales growth figure.

Now seen- 40% but production capacity set to rise 150% next year (part).
Digital valuation makes that £2.03 justified by historic growth and future growth could push that up to £4.00

(rise in margins in line with rise of Pawerglaz as a percent of sales is encouraging)

Hmm - not bad but I don't think enough to tempt me in given the high rating, especially given the current market conditions. Have a look at PFLM in the last couple of days!

To be fair Powerglaze has 40% growth year on year they claim but that's
still a hefty rating to sustain.

How can anybody chase these up when there so many bargains out there.

113 mil market cap and growing but still 2.74 mil profits.

I know a stock that will make more than that this year and is valued
at 10 million...not 113 million.

Sometimes you have to scratch your head.
