No, I didn't short it. The RWA price action does seem unfair compared to peers, I suspect due to illiquidity. As long as the global economy holds up, it should be a good buy in the long term as the valuation is very attractive. You'd think Trump will sort out the US/China trade war and tell his voters it's the 'best deal ever' before the next Presidential election.

Did either of you go short HAS?I declined and given their numbers slightly surprised it's not fallen further today. That said it demonstrates how much better RWA appear to have done, just not too certain and will wait until results.

On some websites their Interims are down for Monday coming, rather than 25th, possibly reason for sell off yesterday?.

RWA has suffered just as much as PAGE did from their warning despite a better update and a more reasonable valuation. Very odd. HAYS update the market on Tuesday, probably worth a short.

This update is having a major effect on the sector, PageGroup Plc warned on Wednesday that uncertainty related to Brexit and the China-U.S. trade war would eat into the recruiter's operating profit for the year, sending its shares tumbling 16% and also hammering peers.

However, going by the trading updates we should see a rise in net fee income and most importantly for some a flat UK. There would be a cautious forward looking statement, but if the results come in line then this should stage a comeback, imho.

Maybe market expects profit warning H1 in a couple of weeks......who knows. Assuming still in-line then undervalued IMO.

I think that's a good point. The downside is what the market decides and not in the actual fortunes of the company (which looks good from where I'm at).

The price action here is frankly bizare nut as we know Mr Market is a strange beast.

Hi f15jcm,

Not sure about the downside when a lot of investors, understandably, seem more skittish than usual, but would certainly agree this currently looks cheap on the historic metrics and potentially interesting given the Federal Reserve and ECB look set to move to an easing bias in the foreseeable future.

Regards.

This is looking crazy cheap for a cash rich growth stock. Seems to be already priced for a downturn so downside very limited IMO.

Thanks, hadn't clocked that.May just wait now and see how this goes before dipping my toe. Doubt H1 on the 25th will be any different in terms of their outlook for the year but you never know.

Strange reaction IMO for a quality company reporting that expectations are in line for the year. Happy to wait and see where this ends up.

Should be 21p H1 diluted eps which is as they say on target for the year.

Good update. UK as expected but a great performance overall. Truly global business with a strong balance sheet.

Looks like c £205m net income then for H1, growth high single digit.

Well that was short but sweet really wasn't it?

UK of course lacklustre but 76% of revenue now from the rest of the world so really very well diversified.

Not a challenging valuation here despite the rising forecasts.
