Go to Waldrons daily iron ore graph and switch to 3 years - you'll find that the current iron ore price is way above the average for 2018 and has been all year. Average price of Rio in 2018 was probably only slightly less than it is currently. Iron ore prices to fall (as a few analysts predict) - seems to contradict with iron ore futures (main quote September) being in excess of $90. The rest of Rio is probably struggling but other metals are coming off their March lows - and copper especially seems worth watching. China (to the extent you can believe the stats) seems to be back - and the health of the metal markets depends on China. Seems to me there are worse places to have your money at the moment - we'll see. | podgyted | |
