13/8/2016 17:27 | Long analysis of the big four miners in the Tempus column in The Times today. Positive throughout on Rio (by and large). Obviously cannot paste the whole piece (for copyright reasons), but here's the conclusion: __________________ With Rio and BHP the picture is less binary. If China goes off the rails in the second half, they will suffer, but not as badly as Anglo and Glencore. In the longer run there is reason to be relatively cheerful. BHP is slowly regaining some certainty over its Samarco liabilities and will begin to reap the rewards of the simplification represented by its spin-off of South32. Rio, under Jean-Sébastie MY (Tempus) ADVICE: There will be wobbles aplenty, but for those with time horizons that extend beyond a year, there are worse places to look than Rio and BHP. Of the two, Rio is marginally the better bet | grahamburn
13/8/2016 10:32 | That's great news, Robrah, though please do, in your case, continue with any information which may be enlightening to thoughtful and serious investors. | grahamburn
12/8/2016 22:52 | appreciate what you are saying graham. I will stop now. I only post to challenge the mind less ramping and broker note distribution on both threads as of 2252 Friday. I will ignore and not respond to christh . | robrah
12/8/2016 22:47 | fmg mining ore at 12 dollars per tonn big deal. | robrah
12/8/2016 22:10 | Rio's now mining iron ore for $14.30 a tonne Iron ore price soars past $61 per tonne to fresh 3-month high | christh
12/8/2016 19:47 | May I respectfully request that you two (christh and Robrah) avoid copying the same posts on to both RIO threads. It's very time consuming - not to say boring, crowding out what sensible discussion there used to be on this thread in particular. The occasional posting of interesting articles/research may be helpful, but continual multiple posts (some of which are unfounded speculation or rebuttal) is pointless to the more serious posters on here. Many thanks. | grahamburn

12/8/2016 15:58 | christh set a target today of 24. 90 . hope no one went long on his advice. if you did . one only has ones self to blame | robrah
12/8/2016 15:57 | hope christh is watching . when make claims like 24. 90 by close of play today he must have been high | robrah
12/8/2016 15:35 | looking at chart it seems that RIO will go to about £23 before £26 is hit in next month or so as still appears to be in a short term uptrend . This scare over the possible tax rise will blow over soon and may not even eventuate . nice weekend all . | arja
12/8/2016 15:13 | nicely down 3% on the day . hmm today christh had a target of 24. 90 much like his broker target . not realistic. | robrah
12/8/2016 14:55 | RIO is now 2.1% lower than BLT Traders have tried to take it down to 2400 but each time buyers have come in. | jdb2005

12/8/2016 13:49 | If I had a 10quid for everything u expect this to go up I would be a millionaire. Unfortunately neither has this gone up and nor am I a millionaire Christh has a new bible (broker a price target) he lives by it. Lol plus no pun intended | robrah
12/8/2016 13:46 | Christ Oh yes if you had put in the bank 40 quid it would have fallen to 16 quid is that right . Lol Come admit it . You got it wrong and then it had to turn in to a long term investment . | robrah
