03/2/2012 01:33 | Hi folks, Hope you'll check it out - just finished posting Part I & II of my investment write-up on Richland Resources: Cheers, Wexboy | wexboy
30/1/2012 20:56 | My understanding is that they strengthened the company bye-laws to ensure any approach must be for the full share capital not bits of it which is what Gemfields tried to do in 2008. There were blocking B shares issued in the interim period until that was done. | zaksab
30/1/2012 20:41 | zaksab, that's very unlikely given the revised protective share classes | giant steps
30/1/2012 20:38 | eswr how do you get the feeling Gemfields want to sell? I always thought Harebottle might come back for the co at some point. | zaksab
30/1/2012 17:53 | There are a few key risks here on which it probably makes sense to wait for clarification: - Tanzanian licence is up for renewal and even though RLD is compliant with all the conditions it is Africa and there could be renewal 'issues' particularly given the political promises given at election time about reform in the mining industry - Not likely to pay a dividend until the cash balances are higher (so that siteholders cannot hold the company to ransom by knowing that the company is short of cash) - Gemfields is, I believe, likely to be a seller and they hold nearly 10% of the Company; so personally I will wait until some or all of that has been placed out | eswr
30/1/2012 12:42 | Not sure I can add value on what the Tanzanian government might or might not do. The SML expires in July. Thanks for reminding me about my post a couple of hours ago though. | zaksab
30/1/2012 11:08 | Zaksab, do you think RLD will lose the mining right on block C ? (main production section) Renewal only 2 months away - huge risk beckons. Perhaps explains why they want to diversify. May also explain why oz jv has not proceeded pending outcome of licence. Reminder 31st Dec 2011 Reminder From the ACHL thread zaksab - 30 Jan'12 - 09:55 - 1374 of 1374 Zangdook why should you ban him? I prefer negative posts than positive ones for shares i own. | giant steps

26/1/2012 15:59 | I guess investors take comfort that the experienced management team are convinced of the huge upside Reminder from 25th October 2011 Extract " Each of the Company's directors and a member of the Company's senior management team has converted all or a portion their outstanding Directors fees or salary into new Shares at a price of 11.5p per Share, being equal to the volume weighted average price ('VWAP') of the Company's Shares over the period of the outstanding fees. In total, unpaid fees and salaries totalling US$456,624 have been converted into Shares. " | giant steps
25/1/2012 23:20 | 19th January 2012 Closing Extract According to Pearce, general manager for group sales and marketing of TanzaniteOne Mining Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of gemstone producer and developer Richland Resources, the year 2011 could be summarised as the year that people "discovered" tanzanite, both in new and existing markets. "We are not only talking about China, but Southeast Asia and Japan as well," he said. Other reminder 12th Dec 2011 Target 33p | giant steps

09/1/2012 08:59 | Looks like the share price is rising today. | monis
06/1/2012 10:02 | One has to hope block c is not handed over as this serves the main production 31st Dec 2011 Extract " Over 300 artisanal miners in Mererani, Manyara region, have asked President Jakaya Kikwete to fulfill his last year's election promise he made to them by granting them block 'C' occupied by Tanzanite One-a South African firm. " | giant steps
12/12/2011 09:19 | Exploiting the contigious asset base makes sense to both parties given Richlands know how, infrastructure and greater financial resources. 40% cost recovery to RLD shareholders pre profit distribtution looks a little light. The additional operation needs to be quite profitable for RLD to make profit from it. If it looses money, then RLD are effectively on the hook for most of it. Would have thought they could have flexed their muscles more in structuring this deal. It shouldnt require much incremental cost or capex I would have thought though; so hopefully it will be low risk and reasonably value accretive. | zaksab
12/12/2011 08:40 | Interesting news. | monis
05/12/2011 10:46 | O/T FDI sales update today, "Prices have fallen approximately 30% from their highs in July 2011" | giant steps
16/11/2011 10:04 | 150,000 buy above the offer price has gone through by the look of things. imo dyor. | monis
15/11/2011 13:40 | I imagine Christmas demand should give us a boost here imo. | monis |
