Footy - with all due respect, why would Tosca want the grief/responsibility that goes with running an outfit in this sector?

They would lose staff, have to make the bid hostile, not get to go through the books......then have to do a better job than the professionals that have passed all the necessary tests in the first place! Madness!!!

Sitting back with some say - collecting profits seems the better bet!

Disruption is what the rags on here want. Sack the board! Have you not listened to John John and all his mates?

Yes looks like something is happening..N+1 Singer repeating their buy stance..several times..Their target price being just above BM's options price... hmmmn...Talk of acquisition..Tosca reducing..Will be interesting to see if RG holding increase...

Tool rental firm Speedy Hire has batted away calls to oust its chairman, claiming that the coup attempt by its biggest shareholder is an “unnecessary distraction”.

Speedy Hire said it had held several meetings with Toscafund and other investors over the past year to discuss its faltering recovery and the hedge fund’s proposal to merge the firm with rival HSS Hire.

“Your company’s recovery is progressing well and to engage in any sector consolidation would potentially put that recovery at risk,” the board said in a letter to shareholders."

"Toscafund, which owns 19.5pc of Speedy Hire, has put pressure on the firm to replace its chairman Jan Astrand after he resisted the idea of a merger and presided over several profit warnings."

Why do you think the price is rising when the largest stockholder is selling? Is that how it works? lol

Looks like Tosca are keen to keep a lid on the price so a low ball offer
still looks good to most. Pressure cooker comes to mind.

They have been playing both side of the book for months now.

I was thinking that where are their trades?And puzzling yesterday, I did take a few of the table yesterday got stung @34.5p in the morning and it took nearly 2 hours and had to be split... explain that too! Then it ended up on biggish volume

Could Tosca have selected a worse day to advertise they were selling stock? Apparently a shooting of oneself in the foot. I dont think so!

Tosca are a very dodgy outfit in our opinnion - they dont make mistakes, and they dont care who gets in their way - no my friends, this was a designer move!

Hands up who has sold since that day? lol

So Tosca sold around 3mil on the day of the half year report - we closed as we opened that day, some shrapnel difference? Adds up on what we expected on the buying side.

Tosca used their power to block forward momentum at this stage. They own an awful lot of stock. lol

Somebody is rather keen on keeping this share price down below the true valuation. We have a good idea on what is going on now....but only a guess.

I think a few important people read these threads?

All the John's were very quick to spot a sell? lol I love this stock.......pure entertainment and we will win in the end - what a fun day that will be!
