23/1/2018 15:49 | Hi Shaunstar, I see this differently as all the previous bad news has been priced in now. IMO the recent price fall being due to some temporary manipulation prior to the trading update (as has been the case previously), and will soon return to slightly above 3.00, with potential for growth thereafter. As an aside, we visited 3 of the Brunnings & Price pubs over the New Year in the Chester area, all experiences were good and working flat out! As you say time will tell.. | steelwatch100
23/1/2018 13:20 | I’ve added to my short here. 1. Chart looks awful hitting fresh lows again and again over the past couple of years. 2. Struggling with revenue as updated previously 3. Since the last disappointing update, cost pressures have only increased. 4. Other restaurant businesses are disappointing with trading updates. Growth is only coming by taking market share which is not the case here. 5. Personal experience – I’ve visited frankie and bennys before and it was honestly poorer in terms of service and food than I’ve experienced elsewhere (in the UK) for along time. Other friends have reported similar. 6. Rising inflation and interest rates mean the UK consumer has and will be spending less on meals out. I don’t see this as a zero, they have a good balance sheet which will buy them time to fix things over the next 2/3 years – if that’s possible. Trading update on Thursday imo will be poor. Rumours of dividend cut also will see the shares markedly lower. Lets wait and see… Shaun | shaunstar
