26/11/2010 15:58 | If you want to have a bit of fun, go back and re-read Tuesday morning's comments on this BB. Two clowns claim to have sold out first thing - one told us it was perfectly obvious to him. I think his words were something like the writing was on the wall. Another gloated that FT columnist Schwarz was a dummy and got it wrong. Several people attacked SAGEM for being obstinately optimistic. To paraphrase old Winnie.... Never in the course of chatrooms have so many gotten so much wrong in so little time. Have a good weekend to all. And a special acknowledgement to SAGEM for sticking to his guns. | curious
26/11/2010 10:32 | Well somebody definitely wants it - WINS are bidding 36p for 250,000 this morning, and SINGERS are bidding the same price for 100,000. Meanwhile the on-line limits also point to further share price progress. Right now you can only buy 10,000 at the full offer price whilst you can sell 150,000 at 35.75. Presumably RENOLD´s management are doing the City rounds, and clearly they are talking a good story. | mesquida
26/11/2010 09:35 | Totally undervalued....they must be on bid alert ?? TSUBAKI OF JAPAN must be putting the slide rule over the company at this very minute, Renold would make a very nice match | sagem
25/11/2010 15:21 | the croots - dont listen. I sold half of 100,000. I am deciding what to do with the balance. Management could do with G Brown running the pensions deficit like he did with GB public sector!!! My hesitaion is that there could be a tp interested in the company. | donk4
25/11/2010 14:19 | jon, I have been in for months. I can quite read financial statements quite well. I follow trends and my gut feeling. I think this will go lower and will more than likely buy back in. What scares me is another fund raising like they did last year. I buy and sell on my own merit. I have never bought and sold by the statements of others. There are plenty that will though. | thecroots
25/11/2010 11:54 | Sagem, do not be horrible, a couple of little institutional investors would be good. What you should have said was 'speculators' | ravenna23
25/11/2010 10:24 | See my posts....I said this was a growth stock and it would go back up as soon as the little investors sold | sagem
25/11/2010 10:02 | And BREWINS now looking for 250,000 @ 35p! This is going higher!!! | mesquida
25/11/2010 09:49 | Thanks for your reply - hope the trade works for you - I see that somebody has paid 35.5 for 50,000 this morning, and I am told that SINGERS are looking for 100,000. Personally I am continuing to hold as I have never found it very easy to deal into and out of this stock, particularly in size. | mesquida
25/11/2010 08:46 | mesquida, I do like RNO still. I just think sentiment will take it lower for the time being. However, paqrt of me regrets it as it seems they are keen for stock I just think, and maybe wrongly, I can buy them back cheaper. My view hasn't changed just trying to sneak a few points. I got 34.1 | thecroots
25/11/2010 08:41 | Why the change of strategy, thecroots? Only two days ago you said ´´I´m not selling yet - it is a recovery play for me, not a trade - it is a lovely looking play from the chart´´ Not poking fun at you, just seriously interested to know why you have had the change of heart. Incidentally it is the house broker SINGER&FRIEDLANDER who are bidding for stock. | mesquida
25/11/2010 08:21 | did you get above bid thecroots? | andyh21
25/11/2010 08:20 | There must be a buyer as I just sold 85,000 and no movement on price. | thecroots
24/11/2010 19:15 | Woodcutter I fully understand your comments and I am very aware of the contents of their results...but Renold is ranked number two worldwide behind leader Tsubaki of Japan and Renold is the market leader in the UK and Europe. Renold is a very well run business able to compete on the World stage and their results have proved this, and with the share price still well below peak levels, the valuation appears very short sighted in my opinion and I confirm my beleif that this company is a very rare gem and a growth story in the making. Today proved that all is not lost with the number of buys against sells being achieved with a 3% increase in the share price.....I am not the only investor having confidence in this company. As always it is up to the individual to make their own decisions to buy or to sell. Good luck. | sagem
24/11/2010 17:47 | SAGEM Without wishing to be negative and cause bad feeling I have to ask have you looked in any detail at the half time results closely? The newspaper journalists don't have time to conduct a detailed analysis I can assure you, they look at the headline figures across the range of companies that reported results for the day and write appropriately. They barely have the time to make copy for the next days papers and they are completely untrustworthy imo. I haven't gone through it with a fine toothcomb but that's because I don't feel a need to because: They have net debt of £23m The balance sheet retirement obligations are £87m More importantly the cash flow from operations is also negative and it seems to be bleeding cash too. Even the cash of £4.5m on the balance sheet looks to be made up of £4.1m overdraft at first glance. If my first broad brush of the numbers reveals something interesting I will then look to do a more detailed analysis but RNO is a not in this league as it's too weak a business. IMV the directors need to get to grips with the pension problem and find someway to solve it or it will keep the business and share price from growing. Look it's not my intention to try and convice you it up to you it's your money you're investing but imv it's not for widows and orphans. Woody | woodcutter
24/11/2010 17:23 | Large volume over on PLUS today - looks as though the 33/34p support level has held. | mesquida
24/11/2010 17:15 | Not many companies making a profit like RNO youve got to joking you obviously dont have much knowledge of the stock market. | tom111
24/11/2010 17:15 | Not many companies making a profit like RNO youve got to joking you obviously dont have much knowledge of the stock market.dont fight the market you will never win. | tom111
24/11/2010 16:12 | Of course the The telegraph says buy because it is a buy, this company is totally undervalued, not many companies making a profit like Renold in an economic downturn and their are those companies that make no profit at all and their shares are marked higher.....stupid | sagem
24/11/2010 15:21 | The telegraph says buy | sellitnoww
24/11/2010 15:10 | Im sure the shares will languish for the next 2 or 3 months until the next news update until then i will watch from the sidelines. im not saying the shares wont come good in the end just that i found the results were disapointing on the whole. | tom111
24/11/2010 14:36 | amazing amount of coverage, your company must be paying a fortune in pr, but to what effect? | ydderf
24/11/2010 12:22 | In fact its up 0.75P not 0.0075P get it right. No where in that statement does it say buy.20000 buys equates to nothing | tom111 |
