23/4/2024 21:43 | About that ATH.... | wad collector
23/4/2024 13:02 | Same trajectory as Costain and falling interest rates should boost such stocks even further | mirabeau
23/4/2024 12:57 | Looks like we are back on the trail to another new ATH again ; been almost a month since the last one.... | wad collector
23/4/2024 09:42 | Cheers igoe104. RNWH seem to be on a roll at present. Looks like a good start for QTS to the Network Rail CP7 2024-2029 five year plan - which is budgeted at £44 billion. And of course Thames Water are under huge pressure to ramp up investment and maintenance spending, which is bound to happen one way or another whomever owns it. So it's encouraging to see J. Browne: "awarded the Surbiton trunk mains renewal works by Thames Water as part of the wider FA1488 PROG2011 Trunk Mains Programme". | rivaldo
18/4/2024 08:44 | More good news, J browne have won some work with Thames Water. | igoe104
17/4/2024 16:01 | Nice to see QTS involved in this large contract. QTS Group is among the winners of Network Rail’s nearly £2bn capital works delivery frameworks for CP7 in the North West and Central region. | igoe104
09/4/2024 06:15 | A nice £5m highways company acquisition today, which in particular addresses the growth to come from the structures renewal programme within the UK Government's planned investment in the next Road Investment Strategy (RIS3) from 2025 to 2030: | rivaldo
05/4/2024 12:48 | Another small project, AmcoGiffen are definitely becoming the go too company for Network rail. NETWORK Rail and AmcoGiffen are to begin a £3.4 million project on the world-famous Glenfinnan Viaduct later this month. Engineers will assess the condition and strength of the 123-year-old A-listed viaduct, whilst also carrying out work to protect it from water erosion, completing concrete repairs, and making improvements beneath the track to keep the stone ballast in place. | igoe104
05/4/2024 11:28 | Cheers igoe, that sounds very positive. Per this from last week, that framework is worth nearly £2 billion: From your link: "AmcoGiffen has recently been appointed to six lots on Network Rail's North West and Central CP7 framework. This significant achievement is a result of our capabilities, commitment to excellence, operational efficiency, and testament to the dedication of our people. Our lots include medium and small projects including design and build options and will extend our asset management relationship with Network Rail. The five-year framework, which starts this month will support our sustainable growth allowing us to continue collaborating with Network Rail to generate employment and development, create local supply chain spend and drive lasting and positive change to the region and the rail industry." | rivaldo
05/4/2024 10:48 | More contract wins for AmcoGiffen. | igoe104
03/4/2024 12:49 | Today's news from Network Rail looks good for RNWH - Network Rail have announced £2.8 billion of expenditure in the next 5 years to protect railways from climate change and extreme weather. They particularly note repairing railway cuttings and embankments, improvements in drainage, anti-flooding measures etc which are RNWH's bread and butter. In addition, there's a £19.3bn spend on replacing old assets with new ones and investing in projects such as digital signalling, with £12.6bn earmarked for maintenance - again all grist to RNWH's mill: | rivaldo
03/4/2024 10:57 | Further to go at Renew Holdings, says Peel Hunt Shares in Renew Holdings (RNWH) are offering good value despite gaining 31% over the past six months, says Peel Hunt. Analyst Andrew Nussey reiterated his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 950p on the engineering group, which was trading down 1.1%, or 11p, at 913p. First-half 2024 results delivered ‘further positive operational and strategic momentum’ and management outlook was confident thanks to strong demand across all key markets and order books that provide ‘high levels of forward visibility’. ‘Renew continues to perform well – delivering attractive growth and strong free cash generation,’ Nussey said. ‘The shares have performed well… and continue to offer good value on 14 times September 2025 earnings per share given the growth outlook, compounding free cashflow, the quality of earnings, and the proven management record of delivering value, both organically and acquisitively.&rsquo | pj84
03/4/2024 06:42 | The respected columnist Richard Beddard has just carried out a thorough analysis of RNWH to conclude whether to buy shares for his ongoing Decision Engine portfolio. He scores RNWH with 7 out of 10, which indicates it's good value, and will be returning to potentially buy RNWH if one of the existing portfolio members is sold or excluded for some reason: | rivaldo
02/4/2024 08:28 | I see the TU date in IC was wrong. A quiet "inline" will do. Given that the forecasts are up! | wad collector
02/4/2024 06:21 | Yep - you can always rely on Renew :o)) From memory the broker commented that RNWH have always either beaten or met expectations since 2006, and that continues today. Once again RNWH is trading nicely in line and experiencing "strong demand for its services across all key markets", with "excellent" visibility for H2 given the order books and long-term framework contracts. Last year's H1 update was worded almost exactly the same, and RNWH ended up beating expectations by some margin. The cash pile was up to almost £36m at the year end, so should have increased further since and provides a healthy backdrop to likely acquisitions soon. | rivaldo
28/3/2024 14:32 | TU Tuesday. Bet they will be solid. Again. | wad collector
28/3/2024 09:56 | Good to Seymour engineering involved in this project. | igoe104
26/3/2024 10:15 | Yep, the last couple of years have seen updates on 3rd April and 1st April - so next Tuesday or Wednesday after the Easter break seems likely. | rivaldo
22/3/2024 14:49 | Trading update should available within the next two or possibly three weeks with Easter period in the middle? | wfcreserves
21/3/2024 09:31 | Good plan. Held some of these for 32 yrs! And as in ISA no need to take some capital gains, but have been tempted. | wad collector
21/3/2024 08:42 | Oh happy days - A new breakout UP - Memo self - Keep finger away from sell button and go back to sleep. | pugugly

18/3/2024 14:53 | A tenner in 2024? Seems possible now. | wad collector
18/3/2024 11:41 | Nice comment from Shore Capital's analyst when reviewing Hill & Smith (HILS): "However, he said the ‘stock may underperform if the market switches to a risk-on environment at some point, as we see more upside elsewhere’, particularly in engineering services group Renew (RNWH) ‘which is cheaper despite generating higher returns on invested capital, higher historic earnings growth, and having a lower risk profile’" | rivaldo |
