I’ve sold 40% today. They’ve risen 80% since I bought, so hold the same value now as when I bought in. Just feel it’s the right time to lock some gains in.

Consensus EPS forecasts on Eikon are 46.13p for 2021, 51.73p for 2022 and 53.61p for 2023.That puts stock on P/E of 14.3 times 2023 expected earnings. Hardly expensive even after the share price rise for a growing business in a defensive sector.I also suspect that the share price is also indicating that those consensus forecasts will be revised upwards in due course.

More buys at 760p this morning.

Seymour Civil Engineering have just won a place on a £290m framework contract as one of eleven suppliers over the next 5 years for Yorkshire Water for works across their estate.....

Lovely finish, with a closing buy at 760.04p.

It's not surprising there's a re-rating going on. RNWH are in a lovely sweet spot now, with terrific defensive qualities on the one hand, yet also deep involvement in a number of fast-growing sectors all earmarked for large government/regulated/infrastructure investment over the next 5-10 years.

Buy at 760 at the close - wow this just keeps on rising fast, perhaps it does justify falling in love with it after all!

Over the past few years I've considered RNWH undervalued. They've been steadily winning contracts but the share price hasn't really moved. It's taken a long time for the market to realise, I wonder what the catalyst for a reassessment was.

They do say "never fall in love with a share" . Love makes you blind . Though they also say that something else makes you blind and that clearly isn't true , look at Boris.

Since we broke £7 the price action has been very strange. Sadly i have fallen in love with this share (so price is fairly irrelevant) but i am curious!

Looking very strong here, especially against the general market sell-off yesterday and in general. Received a nice interim divi the other day too :o))

VHE were the second largest recipient in the country of funds from the Government agency HomesEngland:

"Earthworks and remediation contractor VHE Construction was in second place – receiving £5m. It worked on jobs including adit, well and reservoir decommissioning at the listed Whitley Pumping Station in Coventry, West Midlands, and infrastructure works on a former Electrolux site in Spennymoor near Durham."

News this morning of £2.7 billion allocated to deliver environmental improvements in the water sector. with an extra £800m being spent and the remainder being brought forward - RNWH's acquisition of J Browne could not have been better timed:

"Ofwat, in collaboration with Defra, the Environment Agency, the Drinking Water Inspectorate, and CCW, has given the go ahead on delivering a broad range of proposals to offer a more resilient, greener and healthier future.

Five water companies - Severn Trent Water, South Staffs Water, South West Water, Thames Water, and United Utilities will invest an extra £793 million, on top of their existing five-year PR19 packages, to help the green economic recovery. These companies, along with seven others in England, are also bringing forward £1.9 billion worth of investment in additional statutory environment schemes into the 2020-25 period."

Up - obviously :o)) Broker targets are often left behind in the dust if need be.

There could be a further earnings-enhancing acquisition at any time. Plus imo RNWH is achieving a rating shift/uplift as investors finally appreciate:

- the involvement in a number of multi-decade growth sectors
- and RNWH's excellent defensive qualities

Encouragingly to see VHE construction rise from no- where to 2nd in the chart of home suppliers in England year on year.

You Newbies, I'm a 1992 veteran, though at one point I did sell all. Mind you, would have been much better to have held for last 10 yrs not 30.

free stock charts from uk.advfn.com

On a slightly different point , I just came across an in-depth analysis from 2015.

hxxp://www.damiancannon.com/blog/renew-holdings-a-recovery-story-with-more-to-give/

At that point they were around £2.80

And his conclusion was
" that Renew Holdings has proved to be an excellent recovery stock and that the board are fully in control of this process. If you were looking for a shell that provides engineering services and allows cross-pollination of best practices across the organisation then you probably couldn't hope for better. But I also think that the big gains have been made here and there are other companies available (in the same sector and beyond) which may provide better capital growth and certainly afford a higher income."

Now it is easy to be clever with the retrospectoscope but a reminder that opinions in the world of equities are , after all , just opinions.
