07/5/2021 16:28 | Harrogate - Agreed - but if crystalise profit where to re-invest. Market looking very toppy but has been very toppy (imo) for the last month or so - The experts are punting rotation to value from tech - but the world is going digital and most ESG's neither true ESG's and grossly overvalued - Cash in many cases at negative nominal interest rates and certainly (imo) at negative real rates. | pugugly
07/5/2021 15:39 | Hard to argue with that. Based on current 2021 EPS consensus of 44p that is close to 15x which is the highest rating we have had for a while. Move from mid £5 after last deal has been pretty strong and surely they will have to beat this year to kick on much further from here. Well done | harrogate
07/5/2021 15:26 | Couldn't resist , sold a few for the highest sell of the day , 643, but Rivaldo I feel like a vicar who has just sold the church. Mind you , a vicar with several other churches and a plan to buy it back cheaper... | wad collector
06/5/2021 22:18 | Nice close at 633p-639p. I bet tomorrow morning's open will be around 617p-639p before the bid price creeps back up yet again around midday! | rivaldo
06/5/2021 17:10 | I like that up at the end today! Even as a believer here I am tempted to sell a few , reason tells me that it cannot keep going up , at some point it will retrace. Time to top-slice and buy back into an inevitable dip? | wad collector
06/5/2021 11:34 | I have a few like that, always down in the morning as the bid is lower. Doesn’t always show as the mid price is often the same (offer is higher). I only really noticed when I started using the portfolio tool. | dr biotech
06/5/2021 11:28 | The usual spread is OK - currently it's 631p-639p, with trades inside that. The crazy thing is the way it moves during the day. The spread is ALWAYS huge at the start of the day and for the next 3-4 hours, at which point it suddenly closes to more sensible levels. If I were selling - which I'm not! - I'd be mad to do so in the opening few hours of any day until the bid price accelrates upwards. As it's just done once again! | rivaldo
05/5/2021 15:02 | With such large spreads the reported prices go up and down like a yoyo between bid and ask. | wfcreserves
28/4/2021 22:52 | Nice blog post from last week from Clarke EV about electric car charging points and installations at the workplace: Which leads you to here: | rivaldo
28/4/2021 13:33 | Wow this share price only wants to go one way. Keep being tempted to trade a few out but that was not my plan here! | wad collector
26/4/2021 13:21 | RNWH have been tipped by Andrew Hore on i.i.i as an AIM stock suitable for ISAs concentrating on inheritance tax reducing stocks: "Renew Holdings Renew Holdings (LSE:RNWH) has focused on providing regular maintenance services for rail, water, nuclear and telecoms. This means that business has held up during the past year. The engineering services order book was worth £583 million at the end of 2020. In the past few weeks, Renew has acquired water infrastructure company J Browne Group for £29.5 million and this is immediately earnings enhancing. The Enfield-based business provides services to water companies and developers, where it provides utility connections. In the year to March 2020, pre-tax profit was £5.5 million, but there has been a reduction in activity this year due to the change in the regulatory period for the water industry. Work will build up as the latest regulatory period progresses. Interim figures will be published on 14 May. The full year pre-tax profit forecast for 2020-21 is £43.2 million and the prospective multiple is 14 – based on a share price of 620p. The forecast yield is 2.2%." | rivaldo
26/4/2021 12:02 | The main subsidiaries I look out for every so often are AmcoGiffen, Seymour Civil, Shepley Engineers, VHE, Clarke Telecom, QTS Rail, Lewis Civil, Walter Lilly and now J Browne. That should cover it! Happy to hear if I've missed any major subsidiaries out. | rivaldo
26/4/2021 11:31 | I have lost track of how many subsidiaries they have now...at the last count it was 19 ! Looks like they have finger in every pie... | nurdin
26/4/2021 08:45 | I note that Walter Lilly's big building project for the Medical Research Council is going smoothly, with completion expected for summer 2022 and the next phase of construction underway: | rivaldo
23/4/2021 21:35 | Keep smoking it Rivaldo, you could be smoking £20 notes soon at this rate. Though it will drop back at some point undoubtedly. | wad collector
23/4/2021 07:41 | Indeed - my entry price is similar from memory. A £13k O trade buy at 619.8p has just been announced late from yesterday, and in the last half hour yesterday there was a £9,300 O trade buy at 620.353p as well as others at 619p and above. Whatever I was smoking worked reasonably well :o)) | rivaldo
22/4/2021 23:48 | "What a great day - new highs" - enjoying your smoke eh rivaldo. Perhaps it has made you oblivious to the "buying at the full 620p offer price at the close" having to be so because they were A trades - the one O trade being at 619p. (not that I object to these prices having purchased some years ago at 88 and 93p. I bought them for an income portfolio. With the forecast dividend of 13.5p to 9/21 that is a purchase price yield of 14.9%. Any Building Societies offering that at the moment?). | sharw
22/4/2021 22:32 | What a great day - new highs, and buying at the full 620p offer price at the close. But still some way to go to Numis' 715p target. | rivaldo
22/4/2021 20:55 | Wad, pretty much the same here although not my first share buy. I had to divest of quite a few and invest elsewhere when they delisted and went onto AIM and could no longer be held in a PEP. But held on to the certificated lot and started buying again when they became available for ISAs. It’s been a rollercoaster ride over the years but it seems to be coming really good now. | wfcreserves
22/4/2021 15:53 | Wfc, Lovell was my first ever share buy ,in 1991 I think, had to wait about 15 yrs to get my money back as I held them , but more than made up for that recently. My biggest holding. | wad collector
22/4/2021 15:27 | It seems that the £6 door has been well and truly stormed both reported bid and ask prices now being above that level. | wfcreserves
22/4/2021 14:48 | Weirdly, transactions going through recently @ £6 are being reported some as buys and some as sells? A bout of schizophrenia going on? | wfcreserves
22/4/2021 12:25 | Morgan Sindall the company that took Lovell’s house building operation and their name doing well today too for those long term holders of yore. | wfcreserves
22/4/2021 11:46 | What is even more promising is that the reported bid price is moving up with it. Sells are in the mid 5.90s | wfcreserves
22/4/2021 11:29 | 600p being paid now... OT : I realised that wad, cheers :o)) | rivaldo |
