Timescales will reduce rapidly if the vaccine gets approval. The immunisation capacity is high and 'plans' are already near completion for the logistics.

I feel that people are missing the fact that the vaccine will take at least 6 months if not a year to get effective suppresion of the global population and that many large areas will have difficult to reach populations that may become a reservoir for covid.

These masks also appear to be anti-viral, rather than 'just' anti covid. i.e they will become a standard piece of equipment in a world frightened by emerging diseases, i.e used regularly in most clinics and hospitals globally. Clearly there will be alternatives but this isn't a product with a 1 month window...

Even the UK is going to take at least 6 months to vaccinate the population, more likely a year. The protocols and behaviours are going to be around for a long time.
