19/7/2007 14:31 | stem even if what you say were true what you dont seem to realise is that ReEnergy is more than Estech. It has other interests too! | paulyboy
19/7/2007 13:44 | Actually I've never shorted a stock in my life. I have an interest in the sector and therefore done some research on ReEnergy, including obtaining a copy of the Estech Europe accounts (something you clearly haven't). Good luck with your investment. I think you'll need it. | stemis

19/7/2007 12:40 | Estech Europe is an essentially bankrupt company kept alive by shareholder loans from ReEnergy. That ReEnergy have acquired an additional 49% by issuing shares in itself to the vendors (exchanging one bit of worthless paper for another) strikes me as no news at all. The question is how long can ReEnergy last until it runs out of money. | stemis

19/7/2007 11:26 | Good News from AGM today Reenergy AGM Statement RNS Number:5227A ReEnergy Group PLC 19 July 2007 REENERGY PLC AGM STATEMENT Speaking to ReEnergy shareholders at today's Annual General Meeting, Chairman Roger Hewitt said: "Since the announcement of ReEnergy's preliminary results on 18 June 2007 the Company has continued to pursue the development of a number of projects, including the Hereford and Worcester project in partnership with AMEC Project Investments Ltd ("APIL"). On 12 July 2007 Land Securities Group Plc announced that its property partnership business, Land Securities Trillium, had exchanged contracts with AMEC plc for the purchase of APIL. ReEnergy looks forward to working with APIL and its new owners to develop projects for their mutual benefit. "In its preliminary announcement the Company disclosed that it was making an offer to acquire the 49 per cent. of Estech Europe Limited ("Estech"), the market leading autoclave business, not held by ReEnergy. The Board is pleased to announce that this offer has been accepted by 95% of the Estech minority shareholders and it is expected that the offer will become or be declared unconditional in all respects during the course of tomorrow, Friday 20 July 2007. "It is absolutely clear that there is widespread hostility to fortnightly collection of household waste and the imposition of separation duties on householders. In our view, both are wholly unnecessary. The Estech Fibrecycle process provides the ideal solution because it accepts unsorted household waste and enables recycling without losing the simplicity of the single black bag collection." If shareholder approval is obtained, ReEnergy will issue 19,426,427 ordinary shares of 5p each (the "Consideration Shares") to the Estech minority shareholders. The Company will apply for the Consideration Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM on Thursday 26 July 2007. Following the issue of the Consideration Shares the total number of voting rights in the Company will be 100,979,887. 18/6/2007 11:44 | Shanks man backs ReEnergy Roger Hewitt, who built up Shanks from a £6 million waste services company into a FTSE 250 giant, plans to repeat the feat through his new endeavour ReEnergy. The company is in the process of raising £16 million ahead of an AIM flotation on 21 December. Hewitt has assembled a range of novel waste-related technologies. Some of the new funds will enable the group to take majority stakes in some of these. For instance he envisages obtaining a 51 per cent share of Estech Europe. This group is behind a technology that creates an organic fibre from municipal waste that can be burnt in power stations. Similarly ReEnergy has obtained a license from Pirelli to commercialise the Italian group's waste recycling techniques in the UK. Again, this converts waste into bricks with calorific content akin to coal. These can then be used in power stations. Tests are due to be carried out at Drax Power Station in Yorkshire next year. ReEnergy is also focused on water treatment and has invested in Oases, a desalination system for use in relatively small-scale situations, such as hotels, leisure and small residential developments. Joining Hewitt on the board are Brian Harcourt, who brought Ocean Power Technologies to AIM in October 2003, and non-executive director Howard Flight, a Conservative MP until earlier this year. Flight built up Guiness Flight before selling it to Investec Asset Management, where he remains a director. Hewitt says the company is currently in negotiations with local authorities about contracts and envisages first revenues emerging in 2006. Cenkos is broker to ReEnergy and Strand Partners is nomad. ... | asparks
