07/9/2019 11:26 | Minemine1, I'm not sure if it was apparent from my posts on here but I was sceptical about that theory that some people had mainly due to the investment of the likes of Schroders. | guppygould
06/9/2019 17:35 | Guppygould, that's a very good point. There was some fear that the BOD would run the company in to the ground and buy the remnants for peanuts. It doesn't look likely that it will happen now if the RTO goes ahead. | mikemine1
06/9/2019 12:41 | Paulcon1, it sounds like you and I have similar opinions. I think that the merger/RTO with Avalon will be positive. From things that I have read and seen, I am glad that it's a similar company and not just one that has been created from scratch for the purpose of this deal/takeover, as that can affect companies general operating principles etc. | guppygould
06/9/2019 10:25 | GuppyG Agree, I think the tie up with Avalon is (generally) positive and should have a positive effect on the share price ... Lots of 'If's and but's' though as we do not know how the fundraising is proceeding, how the RTO will effect existing shareholdings (dilution etc) and timescales. The clock is (most certainly) ticking!! My conversations with Joe, show REDT are facing up to their financial predicament, exploring all available options and are honest and realistic. The technology will (IMHO) succeed, one way or another, lets hope it's not to the detriment of long term shareholders.. GL | paulcon1
05/9/2019 23:08 | 1433 "they are focusing on the completion of projects in their entirety." In other words they are focusing on cash flow. | ts0mev
05/9/2019 22:20 | they have lots of projects in the pipeline, they have for years, they can not close the deals, perhaps they do not want to close the deals or they can not. | silvercoast
05/9/2019 18:45 | I didn't record the precise questions or the responses to the questions that I asked, but I made sure that the conversation was project-focused. -Mainly about how the previously announced projects were developing and he explicitly stated that they are focusing on the completion of projects in their entirety. Some of the discussions got pretty project-specific. Factors and issues that have impeded the projects from being completed in their originally anticipated timeline. He did say that some more projects were in the pipeline, but that RED were not going to be announcing just any bit of news. It was on my lunch break in work haha. I'm sure that if you had anything that you specifically wanted to ask, you would be able to. | guppygould
05/9/2019 15:32 | Paulcon1, I was hoping that when I spoke to Joe on the phone yesterday something might have been said that was indicative of those details. I think that there could be a bit of a shift in the share price on the return to trading, but nothing was said that gave me an idea of the timeline. I have always had the tought that this years share price drop could have been the big buying opportunity. Consequently, I topped up my holding but I'm more than happy to admit that I will probably be wrong in this regard. | guppygould
05/9/2019 15:21 | Have REDT given any indication on timescale of RTO and subsequently of shares trading again? | paulcon1
05/9/2019 11:38 | 1426 A quote from the customer "Being a hard working business, we need equipment that can work hard for us and when you see the ability of the VRFB storage technology to handle rapid and frequent charge/discharge cycling with no impact on the battery life, well it was a no brainer to choose that technology,” he said." | mikemine1
05/9/2019 11:32 | 1426 from the article "The manufacturer of this particular system, Avalon Battery," | mikemine1
05/9/2019 05:59 | Sounds like Jabil will also do lithium with solar: | guppygould
04/9/2019 23:19 | "By 2020 the Energy Superhub Oxford (ESO) consortium will launch the world’s largest lithium-ion/vanadium redox flow machine energy storage system (50 MW) and a network of around 100 ultra-rapid and fast charging stations connected directly to the extra-high voltage transmission system." Doesn't seem like the project is dead? | ts0mev
04/9/2019 21:29 | Guppy, yup... (edited for punctuation) | quanglewangle
04/9/2019 21:08 | Quangle, maybe"reminded" would have been more apt. I agree that no matter what happens to RED, the scale of the two isn't comparable though. | guppygould
04/9/2019 16:56 | At least redT are bringing our sovereignty back. A good British company have already started to colonise Australia. Who knows where this could end up... | guppygould
04/9/2019 15:15 | Guppy The German government wouldnt dare pull a stunt like that considering the number of their cars which are sold in the UK, would they!!! | chestnuts
04/9/2019 14:24 | Guppy - *nothing* is reminiscent of the Brexit fiasco. | quanglewangle
04/9/2019 14:08 | Chestnuts, I meant that it sounds like the staff are very busy which is surely a good thing. The German deal is reminiscent of the Brexit fiasco to me. | guppygould
04/9/2019 13:11 | Guppy I am sorry when i hear their is alot going on in the scenes, it really disappoints me as i have heard it loads of time, only to be let down, i would love to know whats happening to the German deal, it just seems to be going on to long. | chestnuts
04/9/2019 11:04 | 1414 If they weren't in the middle of discussion regarding the RTO then yes they could give more information. | ts0mev |
