I suppose one construction that could be put on not RNSing these projects is that they are now "business as usual".

Back in March we were told

"This project is planned to be fulfilled by redT's 3rd Generation product, to be delivered in 2018. Large projects such as this demonstrate how flow machine technology can scale to address base load energy requirements. It is also consistent with redT's corporate strategy of expanding into large projects during 2019."

It was referring to the EU consortium project but why wasn't this subject to a RNS or am I missing something.

"Accordingly – redT energy was recently selected to be the primary energy storage technology provider for a large-scale tidal generation project in the UK – known as the MIDAS Project."

I don't know how many more projects RED is involved in but, according to the last interview, Scott is trying to raise £120 mn on top of the finance for the German contract to allow a bundle of projects to go ahead. I'd imagine that these are mostly pilot projects similar to Anglian but it does point to the huge potential for RED out there.

As Scott said it all about execution now and I can't wait for Jabil to complete the production line which could come anytime.

Nova, an Edinburgh-headquartered firm has claimed a world first in pairing Tesla batteries with its own tidal energy turbines in Scotland, supported by government funding.

(RedT gets a mention)

Blimey, well done Chick. I've bought a few back this morning, but they're not easy to get hold of without raising the price. I agree that the run up to Christmas should be positive for RED form this level.

Ts0The market are at a level where they could rally up to Xmas. The share price fell on big sells but as you can see volume has been falling steadily over the last few weeks. This is often a marker for a sharp move up. Yes I think sellers are out and buyers are waiting for a signal. For me we have seen the signal that's why I have been buying. The most I have held here is 3million shares and I dropped to 500,000 when I sold before the last fall from 11p.I now hold 2.5 M and that's enough unless we see news.

looks like the price has turned? Does that mean the MMs have run out of sells?

Hi MikeYou are right you have to be lucky to get the bottom of a correction.I have been buying from 7.5p down to its present level. I'm with you I think there will be an announcement very soon and this should propel this to new heights.

Ch1ck, I think you have made a reasonable choice. RED will probably, almost certainly, update us before the end of the year, in fact it could come at any time, and the share price will react. Anywhere between 6p and 7p seems a good entry point. How far down could it go from here? The answer is to zero but it seems unlikely with the funding in place to take us in to the New Year at least and the prospect of some revenue if Jabil starts churning out units. The company has indicated it has a lot of interest and discussions and has a pipeline of orders its trying to finance so it doesn't seem to me like a company in crisis or trouble but the risks, although less IMHO, are still there.

I bought some more at 7p a while back which I thought, and still think, was a good level. I'm happy with that decision. You can't always buy or sell at the most favourable levels.

Good Luck.

RED missed out on this one but shows another project beginning that would be ideally suited to RED's offering.

One of the suppliers is VIZn. Jabil is a partner of VIZn and has been involved with them since 2015. Along with other partnerships in the flow battery market, it shows how much experience Jabil can bring to RED's expansion.I expect Jabil's experience in this area will help them bring production on stream quicker and with more product confidence than we might have first thought.

I see that Simec Atlantic (sae) the company that were planning to use redt flow machines with one or more? of their planned tidal flow projects issued an RNS yesterday confirming the project go ahead on the Normandy one. The share shot up in response, but has been declining since its effective takeover by Simec earlier this year.

Yes, well done. I'm watching and wishing you well. This may be a great level. There are number of shares on my watchlist right now, and this is certainly one of them. Currently, though, only in pms (GPM. HOC and FRES)and EDEN, which is in a very interesting place.

Vanaium is present in almost everything even man, carrots, the sea.....

"Wai says the fibers, which have affinity for more heavy metals than just uranium, can likely be used one day to clean up toxic waterways as they have potential to extract vanadium, an expensive metal used in large scale batteries, from the oceans instead of mining it from the ground."

pretty much - not mined commercially, produced as by-product from other mining. A very abundant element. Of course as rises mean Vanadium mining itself becomes profitable, mines are dug, amounts on market increase, speculative bubbles burst, price goes down, mines close, becomes scarcer and the whole cycle of 'liars standing next to holes in the ground' repeats itself.

Vanadium new mine potential

"In addition to the significant interval of high-grade vanadium mineralization, the other key takeaway from hole BBRC001 is that mineralization begins at surface. Vanadium mineralization in the other four drill holes occurs near surface. As experienced mining investors know, this greatly enhances the commercial potential of such mineralization.

While the Company was pleased with its success in initial vanadium drilling, management was in no way surprised. Directly to the north of BATT’s vanadium mineralization trend is Atlantic Vanadium’s Windimurra Vanadium Mine. The most recent estimate for this bulk-tonnage resource is 235 million tonnes grading at 0.49% V2O5 (Measured & Indicated)."

French multinational utility Engie is probing the cause of a fire that last month burned through a lithium-ion battery system during its commissioning in Belgium.

Engie was aiming to test the battery systems under identical conditions. The company ultimately plans to use Drogenbos as a test bed for other energy storage technologies, including compressed air, flywheels and redox flow batteries.
