Just in my lunch break and read the news. A placing that isn't at a discount to the bid price. Those in the placing must be keen, they can't just dump for a profit so I guess they sell into some good news going forward in the coming weeks or months?

All rather interesting and a very firm placing price I would suggest.

RedstoneConnect adds new customers through A+K acquisition

RedstoneConnect added to its smart building technology portfolio with the acquisition of Suffolk-based meeting room management and audio visual integrator Anders + Kern (A+K) in a £1.4m cash deal.

Demonstrating commendable ambition for further expansion AIM-listed RedstoneConnect also proposes to raise £6.5m via a new placing of 433m ordinary shares at 1.5p each. The extra cash will be used to fund the A+K buyout and ongoing product development, but also to bankroll expanded sales and marketing activity as the company seeks to land new customers (we wouldn’t be surprised to see other acquisitions are on the cards too).

A+K appears to be a profitable company, estimated to have generated revenue of £3.4m and adjusted EBITDA of approximately £346k for the financial year ending 31st March 2017.

RedstoneConnect, a leading provider of technology and services for smart buildings and commercial spaces, is pleased to announce that further to the announcement made at 7.00 a.m. today (the "Placing Announcement"), Cantor Fitzgerald and Whitman Howard have successfully placed an aggregate of 433,333,334 Ordinary Shares on behalf of the Company at a price of 1.5 pence per share, with new and existing institutional investors. Pursuant to the Placing, the Company has raised gross proceeds of approximately £6.5 million. The Placing, which was oversubscribed, has received strong support from both new and existing institutional shareholders.
