16/10/2003 22:52 | 10/11 director purchases 1k shares ,says it all, no bid | mike24
10/10/2003 11:48 | Price moving up suddenly for no obvious reason - Redrow must be a candidate for the next bout of consolidation in the housebuilders. I back Persimmon or Wimpey to be the next buyer, with Crest Nicholson, Bellway, Redrow and Westbury the most likely target. Any other views? | bigbertie
13/8/2003 23:15 | RDW has been picked for trading tomorrow by | haystack
07/3/2003 09:47 | the results were good but is this housing market about to burst....according to red theyit will slow....but on the ever sliding evidence of the stock market property and cash are still king... www.polskishop.com | l2e
03/3/2003 13:26 | Interims are out on Thursday 6th, the graph looks good and the company as a hole looks good, what do you think. | boram
10/9/2002 09:50 | Here we go after the better than expected figures!! | martin44
30/8/2002 22:59 | who are thje technical guys ...the washing repair man | moonblue

28/8/2002 09:06 | You technical boys must like the look of this chart. | mimur
19/7/2002 11:11 | I have no doubt steel frames CAN be beneficial. But if the company changes over to steel frames it will be dependent on its factory delivering the right frames at the right time. I am not trying to be pessimistic - just pointing out a risk. If the project is managed well I'm sure it will be successful - I hold the shares. | bigbertie
18/7/2002 09:58 | Steel frames are big biz in appartment building, I see no reason why the benefits will not be there in houses. I reckon we are going to see good move up on this stock particularly with the view that interest rates will not be moving up for some time..... | martin44
18/7/2002 09:14 | Actually, just to correct my last post, FMR did notify a sale of 0.5 million shares in BDEV on 15/7 but I have just checked and see that they notified purchases of 2.5 million on 11/7. I give up - I have no idea what is happening. However I think BDEV (and RDW) are good value at present prices. Just a thought about RDW price falling. Wilson Connolly was going to cut building times and costs by making timber frames, but they came to grief over it - perhaps some investors are expecting the steel frame venture to be similarly disappointing? | bigbertie
18/7/2002 08:53 | theape - WMPY, BDEV & BKL are the bigger housebuilders so big institutions have sizable holdings. Insurance cos, unit trusts etc have been forced to liquidate some of their holdings recently - see big sales of WMPY and BDEV recently by FMR (Fidelity). This selling is not especially related to company prospects, so it could be that these bigger shares will bounce back, particularly as BDEV & WMPY will shortly be announcing record numbers. I still favour RDW as a possible bid target - price moving up well today! | bigbertie
15/7/2002 01:30 | No its not a screaming buy short term. Its not just you but the entire house sector has become shortable. I don't know why on fundamentals, but the charts for the sector are all nasty. and I haven't opened a short yet, so I really am not trying to scare you, but advise of what I see. (look at charts for WMPY, BDEV, BKL) to see what I mean about the sector. | theape
12/7/2002 22:58 | i hear they've just developed a new way of putting up houses with steel which means they cut costs. h'apperently it takes 6 weeks less to put up the house | overspong
03/7/2002 17:34 | Here that they have just completed a huge lannd purchase of ex MOD storage area near Newbury in Berkshire this would allow massive house development! Yes I am a holder and cannot understand the drop in price!! | martin44
02/7/2002 17:27 | No ....... except that someone is selling it! Good results, good reputation, founder's 14% stake now saleable, decent landbank .... it looks good value. If the shares drop much further I would think it will become a bid target. | bigbertie
02/7/2002 09:45 | Has anyone got a fundamental reason not to buy this stock. | mimur
06/3/2002 09:35 | Deutche says buy up to £3.15 and Merrill very bullish on this high quality stock. At 9.30am stock up 11p! | martin44
06/3/2002 07:29 | Profits higher than expected for the first 6 months and price jumps 9p, recommended as a bull buy from brokers. £3 here we come! | martin44
01/3/2002 13:39 | Oop's 5 March | martin44
01/3/2002 13:38 | Yes I think there is still more ground to make up here and RDW report on the 8 March! | martin44
27/2/2002 15:54 | This weeks increase in Housebuilders seems to have missed RDW ..Maybe it will catch up with PSN reporting monday | banovallum
14/2/2002 10:52 | Since 'Tay' takeover this stock is now moving up nicely and with good vibes being given out on both residential construction in general and also the positive news on Redrow this stock moves up consistently. | martin44 |
