Why would anyone take them over, they have a declining business model and have wiped out their shareholders before in the last recession and that is where brexit UK is heading again at some speed.

Are you sure invesco hold 29% numb nuts? You said they hold 29% of PURP yesterday!

If this goes any lower, there will be a takeover bid. Invesco also holds around 29% Profitable, predictable business. Obvious add on for an insurer.

Remember how Rog's favourite shout was how Woodford was so successful and TW had been fired as a fund manager???

Well it's starting to even up a bit now!!!

I agree but i would think looking through his holdings that he has plenty of dross he can sell before looking to liquidate a position here. Great business, share price will recover, Ward said on May 1st that on track to meet expectations and then there's the divi.

Problem is if Woodford has to liquefy assets and starts selling in quantity this is going to take a big hit. Time to buy would be when hes finished if it happens.

Good job we are investors and not traders. Good business which will recover. If you didn't sell on the lost contract you probably have on this news. Imo it is too late to sell now. This is a good business and it will recover, Mr Woodford may not.

Well this is a right mess now, lost contract follewed by resignations and then the Woodford effect. Confidence lost for now!

Citywire saying all Woodford's big holdings blighted until he sells out.

hxxps://citywire.co.uk/funds-insider/news/there-are-many-casualties-of-neil-woodford-s-downfall/a1235202

The point is both good and bad holdings will get smashed if Woodford is finished, as seems likely as I write.

All just noise imo. Ward said on May 1st 'I am also
confident that, given recent trading performance, the Group remains on track to
meet current market expectations for this financial year' Woodford will survive this and a year down the line we will wonder what all the fuss was about. It will come again, its a resilient business.

It could well bounce off a point around here, you would think there will be support at 104 etc.

GLA especially Rog!

Probably not but in these markets and uncertainty there are many shares getting the cold shoulder making it very easy for the short sellers also Avril jumping ship does not help.

Share price halved at time of half year results and contract loss.

Reality is that good progress made in first 6 months with all figures up around 7%.

Contract loss is reducing consensus profit by 8.7%

Good volumes in first two months of second half.

Does this realistically warrant a 50% reduction in market cap when the share price was trading within its historical range at that point?

Just making the point it was pretty obvious the rally to 120 was fizzling out.

It looks a tricky entry point here, hard to guess which direction it will go right now.
