Guess?
I'd suggest it's an odds on certainty AffeMoose. Slim chance it will get sold - similar for Colombia.

Wonder how profitable those recent trumpeted sales were. Wonder what current production is? When were the last quarters figures we received, albeit reluctantly.

YA Global short increased to 0.75% which is why I assume the share price dropped.

is the news a prelude to a placing???

Think it goes without saying dlg, so transparent and bare-faced it is embarassing. Greased the wheels of volume nicely today.

ciao good post earlier.

Looks like an attempt to get trade volume up. There's an issue of shares underway now according to LSE short disclosures, to be priced at the average over the period.

Hiring consultants to review data is something that happens in everyday business so does not really merit an RNS. Colombia gold sales remain insubstantial, below 1k oz net to RRR in July-Dec 2013.

He sold Oracle just when it was looking great. Normal for Bell it seems.

Why would they sell MFP Colombia? They should just keep it going and use it as a cash cow, giving RRR income for years.

so, since columbia is profitable, i believe soon the profit will be flowing back to UK and hence we no longer require placing in the future. We can use profit from columbia for kenya, GL, etc ?

nope

nor do we know the actual numbers, the following does not tell you much tbh:
what's the tonnage per day?
What's the sales per month?
What's the grade?
What's the cost?

"made sales of 406 oz of gold in December 2013, and 111 ounces of gold on 5 January 2014. This shows an improving trend over the last weeks"

Over what period was the 'made sales of 406 oz of gold in December 2013' gold mined? 1 day? 1 month? 3 months? etc etc WHEN in December?

Over what period was the ore that produced 111 ounces of gold on 5 January 2014 mined? 1 day? 1 month? 1 year? Absurd and amateurish, very VERY opaque.

These vague numbers that have no comparator are the same fluffy imprecise stuff that drove me nuts when Colombia came on stream the first place. they LOOK good and no doubt the usual BB morons will be howling about how super duper they are .....until you think about them and then realise that they dont prove anything other than SOME gold has been mined and sold.

News out in case no one had noticed.

Do we know what the average price achieved for the gold is?

EDIT: 517 oz's at say $1000 per oz is gross $517k.

ciao - the other directors are in Bells pocket

If you look at the last two annual reports you'll see the BoDs only met twice a year - money for nothing

two on the remuneration committee is too cosy by miles.

I have been told several things by AB that was not consistent with what was announced in RNSs.

He has ramped up many things about RRR that have never happened and don't look likely to either. Aah, but it was based on information he was provided has been his limp excuse.

At the AGM he glibly announced that some of the Colombian production figures were probably "inaccurate". Question is, when did he know that and why was an RNS not released advising shareholders. Answer? Because it would raise many more questions that he would prefer not to have to answer.

He cannot be trusted and very few shareholders believe he has an ounce of credibility left.

There is always someone else or some other circumstance to blame but himself. He hasn't the backbone to admit when he has screwed up. And anyone who can't do that, is weak and that is probably why Colombia and Greenland (cough, cough) are not completing. They know he is weak.

He has been reckless and cavalier with his shareholders' investment, all the while reducing his exposure or selling his options.

It is about time that the BoD had some non-executive directors that discharged their duties diligently, i.e. looking after the shareholders' interests. It seems that they don't have the backbone either.
