Just a thought - Easy to work out that it will take three years and 9 months to pay the $400,000 for the 58% interest in KCCP. Providing AB can finalise this payment for the 51% ownership of Musonoi Area 1 he is secure until the end of March 2026.
AB might need a walking stick by then.

That's huge news!
That should be worth at least £198 million.

Information Only:

Mat Lofgran, Chief Executive Officer, and Founder.
Elephant Oil Corporation ·
Jan 2013 - Present · 9 yrs 6 months - Jan 2013 - to Present
Elephant Oil Limited is an oil & gas exploration company focused on under-explored areas onshore West Africa.

The initial asset is located in the Dahomey Embayment of Benin, where the prolific West African Transform Margin comes onshore. The precedents set by analogous fields offshore suggest that a comparable onshore accumulation would be very profitable.

I've nearly trebled my holding in Red Rock in the last seven days. Still not completely sure of a good outcome here though the gamble odds appear to have shortened.

Gécamines appear to be close to agreeing with something from Red Rock's interest. It is possible they could pay an additional $4.55 million to RRR and deduct that from the sum due to VUP.
That would not mean Red Rock would receive $12.05 million in cash as a deal on a replacement tenement would have to be finalised, the value of which would be deducted from the sum.

The above is only my personal guess.

MiningLamp, It will be ABs best achievement since becoming Chairman in 2006. Unless someone knows better. For once he is the best-qualified person to achieve a good outcome. No doubt the largest major shareholder is watching this very closely.

VUP must be toying with paying up the $4.5 million as they are due $7.5 million.

The only question mark is how much cash and what the market thinks about any alternative interest obtained. I'm hoping he manages an interest in Musonoi Area 6.

Off TOPIC: This may or may not interest you: The Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) has published a list of providers it intends to authorise when the pre-paid funeral plans industry comes under its regulation from 29 July.

RE: AB tweets meeting with inhouse Congolese legal team Today 09:44

Surely Bell would not extend his stay in the Congo for a fifth week unless he was having some success, the claim is effectively in 3 parts

1. Get $2.5m and $2m damages out of the former partner VUP
2. Get up to $7.5m from the subsidiary of the major mining company who are (apparently) willing to pay
3. Get a portion of the above $7.5m and in return attain a equal value licence package

He is basically dealing with 2 parties, the cash element should be straight forward, the money from VUP may be more challenging but the award to RRR of $4.5m is court approved. The delay may be associated with attaining a replacement licence.

The matter is something of a roulette wheel but Bell has suggested progress is being made so I feel more hopeful than last week, IF Bell can return to the UK with cash circa $5m-$10m and a new licence it will be one of his best achievements in a decade IMO.

Capitulation -
Red Rock shares are probably down 99.75% from their high point - difficult to check though old hands would probably know. That does equal total capitulation of the share price. If correct a rise to £1.50 is required or £1.95 allowing for inflation. Those taking part in placings would have seen a lower % loss since 2010 but no better for it.

GREENLAND - Melville Bay Limited formerly NAMA Greenland Limited.

Striking off action was suspended in May 2021.

As a complete guess it is possible the now owners of Melville Bay could be in touch with Red Rock concerning exploration and drilling results held.

NORTH ATLANTIC MINING ASSOCIATES LIMITED

North Atlantic Mining Associates Limited and Melville Bay Ltd are mutual companies.

New tweet from Red Rock today, it appears they are making progress in Congo, as I understand it they are pursuing something like £10m in cash, one party who owes them money and are not in dispute are a subsidiary of a major mining company so no worries on ability to pay.

Red Rock is currently valued at £4m

Shares in the gold sector in Australia fell sharply overnight and other miners declined. The market appears now to be moving to the early stages of capitulation.
Even gold producers who are paying good dividends are being smashed. The only exceptions are the majors.

The next stopping point on the chart for Power Metal is 0.5p though more realistically it is 0.75p in line with the warrants. It seems a long time since I sold for 1.7p at the end of April.
Anyway, maybe the market will turn as anything could happen in and around Ukraine.

Red Rock might be an exception if AB can grab up to $17.5 million in cash and EOC manages to IPO.

Everything is on AB really and Matt Lofgran Chairman of EOC. With the copper price in reverse, there is precisely nothing else short term, and the crown jewels are all sold but for some 9-carat earrings - shares in Juno and not sure how many POW shares remain.

And a contrary view from a fellow who probably knows better than most, remember nearly all AIM mining/exploration minnows are already down 50% / 80% from their 18 months highs.

Canadian junior mining as oversold as late 2008 (Lehman crash)

Our CD Fund gained over 300% in a good two years (2009/2010 period)

How much will it be this time?

Clearly the best entry point, since March 2020, imho

(Graph shows CDNX versus CRB, best proxy for our fund)

The market in small mining shares has not reached capitulation as yet. Aussie miners overnight slumped again with losses going out to 22%. The reason is that it is going to cost a lot more with fuel prices rising to explore and develop. Maybe POWer Metal can IPO something though the marketplace looks dire.

Copper is falling in price with some other commodities looking to fall further. Oil, gas, and fertilizer are the place to be especially if a producer.

Fortunately, Red Rock has an oil interest and a sold Musonoi Area 1 tenement. Neither are yet cash in hand though they are certainly not in the bush.

It’s been a doozy of a month: Gold went straight down the elevator shaft five weeks in a row after an Easter bounce, while silver continued its sideways ten-year run.

Will things turn around in June? Host Craig Hemke sits down with Tavi Costa of Crescat Capital to break down the month’s gold and silver news.
