Look at the share options that he has also been given...He is hardly been pushed in such a way to maximise shareholder value. As soon as a reverse takeover places place he can sell over 10 million straight away. Easy money....who sorts out these deals as I clearly am in the wrong job. Why has it also not been announced how much his pay packet is...surely shareholders should be told... I am not ranting just sharing some views after watching what he has been responsible for elsewhere.

normally the appointment of a new CEO is hopefully a sign of a new start and hopefully someone with a good track record. Maybe I need to just sell now and move on because Mr Hayward I believe, given his track record will end up issuing more and more shares and continually dilute the company whilst earning a nice salary.

This appointment seriously worries me....I have been with Sirius petroleum for many many years and look at the disaster that has turned out to be.... Ah Mr Hayward was involved in that as well.

Sirius Petroleum shares soared 31% after it revealed it has signed what director Toby Hayward called a “transformational” off-take deal with the UK energy arm of Glencore.

Sirius Petroleum (LON:SRSP) shares soared 31% after it revealed it has signed what director Toby Hayward called a “transformational” off-take deal with the UK energy arm of Glencore.

The deal includes a financing facility of up to US$65mln for the development of the company's near term production assets located off-shore Nigeria.

The loan would be netted against the initial sales of crude oil production.

This is in addition to the 900mln warrants that will bring in around US$93mln (£60mln) of new investment.

The Glencore agreement, meanwhile, will see Sirius deliver 60,000 barrels of crude a day for a three year period that will be marketed by the commodities trader.

Director Hayward said: "Our partnership with a major multinational oil trading company is transformational for Sirius, and Glencore's invaluable expertise marks a fundamental step in our strategy to put our initial assets into production and to build a portfolio of highly valuable oil assets."

Sirius owns 40% of the Ororo Field, which is thought to contain at least 20mln recoverable barrels of oil. In the shallow waters of the Niger Delta, it was discovered in 1986 by Chevron, which penetrated 197 feet of hydrocarbons in twelve sandstone reservoirs.

Sirius will initially focus on the re-entry of the Ororo-1 well, which had historic production of 2,895 barrels a day.

At 8.45am, the stock was changing hands for 42.5 pence.



Sirius petroleum is now only 0.75p a share.

He failed as deputy CEO in in his overwatch role in Afren. The dismissed guys were sacked by the Chairman not the impotent deputy CEO

over 900 good governance issue raised by instos, none addressed and he was in position to do something about it.
This guy is tainted

As for price rising because of his good reputation and the risk attached, perhaps it is the other appointment that drives this

he was responsible for assets sold by afren without advising shareholders until 3 months after the event and a hedged position in a declining oil market is vital. That is why so many us Oilers have taken new hedges in case of a further oil collapse

Do not say you were not warned

getting blind sided at Ctag is one thing

there are no excuses here.

As i said I am gone so will not post here again as I think that is the reserve of very sad people.

Too early to say at present, and like you, I am holding to see how this develops.

Said many times, Shells can deliver fantastic returns.

but always a gamble with these companies, you pay your money you take your chances.
