Real Good Food plc (AIM:RGD), the food manufacturing business specialising in cake decoration, announces that Andy Richardson has been appointed as a non-executive director with effect from January 2023. Andy has a wealth of expertise across a range of organisations at CEO, Chair and non-executive levels, including having been Chairman of Rubicon Partners, CEO of Arc Specialist Engineering Limited and CEO of Metalrax Group Plc. He has a strong track record in business transformation, scale-up and international development in quoted, private equity and family office ownership structures.

Andy has a particular interest and expertise in manufacturing transformation, which will be highly relevant to the radical reform programme which is underway within the Group. Andy will take over as Chair of The Remuneration Committee and may undertake some manufacturing consultancy should the need arise.

Andy holds a Master of Arts and a Master of Engineering degree from Cambridge University.

As previously announced, Gail Lumsden is stepping down from the Board to dedicate time to her other non-executive commitments. Gail will leave on 31 December 2022.

Andy Richardson was a director of Stylex Auto Products Limited from 6 August 2019 to 30 November 2021 which was put into administration on 12 June 2020 due to conditions relating to COVID-19. Administrators have been appointed and the process is ongoing.

Andy was also a director of Down & Francis Industrial Products Limited from 16 July 2008 to 11 July 2013. The company was put into administration on 2 April 2013 and subsequently dissolved following liquidation on 7 June 2014. The total net liabilities to unsecured creditors was GBP2,000 and related to an intercompany creditor.

House BI Limited was restored to the Register of Companies by order of court on 4 September 2015 and therefore Mr Richardson was reinstated as a director without his prior knowledge. Mr Richardson has no involvement in the company and is in the process of formally resigning from the company.

House KTP Limited was restored to the Register of Companies by order of court on 5 August 2015 and therefore Mr Richardson was reinstated as a director without his prior knowledge. Mr Richardson has no involvement in the company and is in the process of formally resigning from the company.

MRX Dormant Company Limited, MRX Dormant Company Two Limited, MRX Dormant Company Three limited, MRX Dormant Company Seven Limited, were all restored to the Register of Companies by order of court on 13 March 2017, 22 December 2014, 17 November 2015 and 18 May 2016 respectively, and therefore Mr Richardson was reinstated as a director without his prior knowledge. Mr Richardson has no involvement in the company and is in the process of formally resigning from the company.

Buncher and Haseler Limited was restored to the Register of Companies by order of court on 12 July 2018 and therefore Mr Richardson was reinstated as a director without his prior knowledge. Mr Richardson has no involvement in the company and is in the process of formally resigning from the company.

Andy Richardson does not hold any ordinary shares in the Company.
