22/3/2024 22:59 | MRF: why DO folks always feel the need to add negative adjectives to the majority who supported Brexit? Let's keep THIS thread focussed on RECI and leave the 'discussion' threads to those who wish to discuss non-investment related issues. Feel free to join us there MRF. | mcunliffe1
22/3/2024 19:11 | Perhaps he got unfairly tar brushed from the bigoted crowd of brexiteers on jonwigs and his PHNX thread? | my retirement fund
22/3/2024 17:05 | Evelyn Partners Limited have increased their holding to over 5% today. It was only a small increase so wonder if they will keep accumulating | return_of_the_apeman
22/3/2024 17:04 | A minor piece of news that actually has something to do with RECI... Evelyn Partners Limited have a small increase in holding that takes them JUST over 5% in total. Nice to see they're keeping the faith | cwa1
22/3/2024 13:51 | Thanks Brucie, I can only imagine MRF has mixed me up with someone else! I have no problems with people posting about Brexit, for or against. It's hardly irrelevant to investing is it? | rcturner2
22/3/2024 11:35 | I'll third that CWA1 | hindsight
22/3/2024 10:55 | MRF, I have followed many of your posts with interest and share your views on the B word- but please I see no justification for this rather vile execration of RCT, who in my experience does not conform to any of these rather infantile descriptions. Please desist. And I hold my hand up for broaching the subject in the first place. This should of course be for RECI, not BRECI. ;) | brucie5
22/3/2024 07:54 | I'll second that suggestion, CWA1 | speedsgh
22/3/2024 07:50 | Perhaps just me...but I'm totally fed up of reading about Brexit in totally inappropriate places. Any chance we can park it and discuss it somewhere it is even remotely appropriate and get back to discussing RECI here? | cwa1
22/3/2024 07:04 | If you are interested in the value of UK exports, you can see the World Bank data here: hxxps://www.macrotre I personally cannot see any appreciable effect from Brexit in these figures, they look pretty healthy to me. | rcturner2
21/3/2024 08:59 | Whoever is selling thinks the share price is going lower and so far they have not been proved wrong. I guess it depends on your view of the credit risk | cc2014
21/3/2024 08:45 | CWAI - That is correct, if RECI can buy half a million, someone must have sold them. It certainly wasn't the market maker going short. | spittingbarrel
21/3/2024 08:29 | Yes, but I THINK sb is asking who actually sells them the shares at 117.5p for RECI to make the buyback. Apologies if I've interpreted that incorrectly! | cwa1
21/3/2024 08:26 | Thats the buyback yesterday no? | rimau1
21/3/2024 08:19 | I'd like to know who sells 500,000 at 117.5. | spittingbarrel
20/3/2024 17:21 | Blame my wife in that case Brucie. :-) | mcunliffe1
20/3/2024 16:42 | MC, ha ha - in this matter probably better to defer to your wife. When all's said and done, I feel like I know you of old and have a sort of grudging respect for your honesty, which I think you appreciate, though our views hardly overlap. ;) On the more substantive matter, I do indeed hold RECI, and not just on my own behalf, as I also advise on a couple of other folios. So if it goes A over T I'll be no doubt in the Sh. | brucie5
20/3/2024 16:37 | I joined those who topped up today. It's still only a modest holding and I might well be topping up again as my portfolio review progresses. | tournesol
20/3/2024 16:24 | Bit more rustic here isn't it Brucie? I did warn the good RECI posters about you. Question: do you hold RECI or are you looking to hold RECI? EDIT UPDATE: Our two posts crossed so I appreciate you do indeed hold RECI. I asked as this thread is perhaps best to discuss RECI as I would not respond to political stuff here but would on the SHA thread. But, it's your call Brucie as I'm not God. (my wife tells me she is) ;-) | mcunliffe1
20/3/2024 16:17 | Feuille filtered. MC, I dare say the price is right; as I see from the AIC website: Disc. -18.53 Gearing 23 Div. 10.21 Under more normal circs a new low in the share price might be a red flag; but here, unless we're missing anything it just makes it more of a bargain, within a diversified folio. Good luck with your top up. I hold quite a few already. | brucie5
20/3/2024 15:49 | @Brucie5 You're a sad case. No , I don't intend to make Britain great again. It's all in your f'ckd up mind. | feuille |
