20/8/2014 15:37 | Well the EV of r4e including the remaining contingent payable of £2m is £14m debt + £2m + £3m market cap = £19m. So the Debt/EBITDA ratio is 7/8, the EV/EBITDA is 9.5. For a cyclical company with a poor management history, I wouldn't want to pay more than a EV/EBITDA ratio of 5. | seernb
20/8/2014 14:48 | If it doubled its EBITDA earnings Seernb, it wouldn't be valued at circa £3 million. It is a risky stock. If it ever gets to £4 million EBITDA I can garuntee you it won't be on sale for 4 pence a share. Good luck with your entry point. Best Stuart | stewy_18
20/8/2014 14:26 | This company needs to massively increase its earnings. Why is it that a company with £75 million revenue can only generate ~ £2m in EBITDA? If r4e can at least double those earnings I consider buying the stock. | seernb
20/8/2014 07:10 | Good mark up yesterday, lets hope it continues today. Market makers must be short of stock now? As Salonie points out, the interim results next month should not disappoint! | geraldton1
20/8/2014 07:04 | Good mark up yesterday, lets hope it continues today. Market makers must be short of stock now? As Salonie points out, the interim results next month should not disappoint! | geraldton1
19/8/2014 20:21 | A reminder from the last trading update: "Trading Update The Group has enjoyed a strong start to trading in the current financial year and is confident of meeting market expectations for the full year. Historically, r4e's financial performance has been weighted towards the second half of the year, which includes the peak summer and year-end theatre seasons. However, primarily due to a very strong performance from Spot & Company of Manhattan Inc. ('SpotCo'), the Group's New York based theatre and live entertainment business, it is expected that trading in the current financial year will be more equally balanced between half year periods". Hopefully a re-rating soon, doesn't take much to move the sharprice up or down! ATB | salonie
19/8/2014 20:09 | Indeed. Results soon should help. Regards. | jakleeds
19/8/2014 16:21 | Am not getting too excited yet jakleeds i need to get to 5.5p just to break even, but every little helps | keith2006
19/8/2014 15:40 | Hello hello hello, what's happening here then?? | jakleeds
01/8/2014 15:07 | Nice find ironstorm... | jakleeds
01/8/2014 07:47 | Good article from the telegraph yesterday. Bodes well for our top line. | ironstorm
31/7/2014 13:54 | Next news should be the interim results. Last year they came out in September. However the TU this year appeared a month earlier than last in June - so who knows maybe they will bring them out earlier. Again last year the shares re-rated from 2.5 to over 7 if I recall correctly at the interims. | ironstorm
31/7/2014 12:16 | exciting here, NO? duller than dishwater on the dullest day of the millenium... tumbleweed and distant bells spring to mind. yawn | deanroberthunt
28/7/2014 17:04 | Interesting deal at 11:09:54 today, namely 1-2-3-4-5-6 (123,456) shares | tullynessle
08/7/2014 17:57 | My worry in buying back in....are they going to delist? Makes sense...would save a lot of money. I doubt they can raise any cash with all this debt. Maybe go away for 5 years and come back a leaner animal. | barnetpeter
08/7/2014 15:15 | I wouldn't add to my holdings until there was more positive news about trading or fund raising. And the share price must be higher first, I couldn't average down. But only have a toe in the water here until then, normally I would have awaited fund raising news before initial purchase. | interceptor2
08/7/2014 15:15 | Yep it's market-wide though. Got to be some bargains about IMO. R4E being one IMO. | jakleeds
08/7/2014 14:12 | Who's brave enough to buy down here?? Plenty of shareholders still dumping their shares... | cfro
04/7/2014 11:50 | Definitely worth giving the management more chance here to try to get the business firing on all cylinders. Whether this is the bottom share price wise, i have no idea, but neither i guess does anyone else! | cfro
04/7/2014 10:57 | Best of luck dan de lion. Seems you're not the only bored seller here. I'm still of the opinion that the turnaround the business has seen in the last few years is nowhere near reflected in the price. We need more positive news/ results etc. | jakleeds
04/7/2014 09:45 | Sorry Jak I have sold my entire holding over the last few days and reinvested in VOG, was disappointed to the lack of reaction to the T/U, will monitor and perhaps come back in September. That 60k was my last holding. | dan de lion
03/7/2014 18:32 | Still holding all mine fwiw. | jakleeds
03/7/2014 15:21 | Looks like we all had the same idea! I will also add if newsflow improves further. The underlying business seems to be doing well. The only thing holding these back is the debt. Unfortunately it's difficult to see what they can do about that other than making incremental improvements with refinancing deals. | jamielein
03/7/2014 14:49 | Same here, I brought a very small position after the last trading update. I wouldn't normally buy any shares when a chart looks so poor, but felt that if I held some with a wide stop, at least I was more likely to keep my eye on events. | interceptor2
03/7/2014 10:15 | Ive only bought a tiny few here which i bought just a few days ago. I wont add unless or until the newsflow improves further. | cfro |
