17/7/2019 16:19 | What's propelled the stock? Hopefully end of hacking or a major jump in earnings TBA. Or better still a tie up with FB. hxxps://www.coventry May have something to do with it. | cityconindex
17/7/2019 15:59 | Great volume on this 10% rise | our haven
10/7/2019 21:14 | DOH!! Thanks spot - I didn't think of looking there! So it's official. To be fair - saying nothing in June is probably slightly less boring than the normal June statement, which since the time of Moses has been "trading in line with expectations" | kazoom
10/7/2019 20:32 | That's the way it looks. Interims on July 29th. hxxps://www.reachplc | spot1034
10/7/2019 19:51 | I am puzzled. In the recent past we have always had a trading statement in late June (in 2016 it was 1st July). Did the company tell us not to expect one this year? (If they did I missed it) Perhaps they realised that their TUs are boringly predictable and that it wasn't therefore worth publishing one - but it so I would have been nice to be prewarned. I guess the next expected announcement then will be the HY results at the end of the month? | kazoom
08/7/2019 07:35 | On IG index people are 100%long on Reach. Seems to have found a new support level. 83.5p is still a major resistance thick red line. Prudential would not take such a position of 10 percent unless good news is on the way. | cityconindex
02/7/2019 20:48 | Up nicely so expect a shake out in the morning. If this does not happen then I would expect a serious upside over a long period, setting aside tweets from the leader of the free world of course. | our haven
01/7/2019 09:07 | Paradoxically we have a sudden big drop this morning with no volume - a shake-out ? | pvee
25/6/2019 19:58 | Thanks for flagging that cityconindex, otherwise I might have missed it. I am not going to get overly excited about it, but it is quite interesting. Prudential have increased their stake from 5% to 10.12% (that's c. 15million shares bought - of course someone-else must have sold them!) Unless I am missing something it must have taken them at least 6 months to amass that many shares - there have been less that 40m shares traded in the whole of 2019. Although as the holding is shown as "Indirect" (although with voting rights) - could it have been in some way an off-market transaction??? | kazoom
25/6/2019 16:06 | Prudential doubles down must be goods half years figures on the way. | cityconindex
18/6/2019 22:56 | She seems perfectly qualified to be Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. | our haven
18/6/2019 22:12 | Most disappointing to see new ex BBC NED. We need someone with a successful background and a strong understanding of the new media landscape.Getting someone from the FT or Washington Post would have been helpful in guiding the company, not another box ticker, who will concentrate on being part of the consensus. The BBC is struggling financially, loosing its strong impartial, apolitical stance, which is a measure of the loss of intellectual capital. It is difficult to see how the company can benefit from somebody fleeing that titanic organisation. | xxx
11/6/2019 09:51 | I see Peel Hunt are pricing Reach at £1.50 target in their latest effort. I can't get it, I don't suppose anyone here can find out what they are saying? | harry_david
31/5/2019 20:12 | Indeed IronStorm - I hardly ever forget that ;-) However, IF we are waiting for digital growth to be the catalyst for the wider market to recognise the value then I'm yet to be convinced that is an imminent event. | kazoom
31/5/2019 19:24 | Don’t forget though how cheap we are and with a chunky divi too | ironstorm
31/5/2019 16:26 | I think you are being overoptimistic there Harry. The Daily Mail online figure (+25% overall, +16% LFL) covered the SIX Months to the end of March. However, for the FOUR months to the end of APRIL reach reported a much more disappointing digital growth of only 8.4%. Perhaps the DMGT figures show what is possible, but they also suggest that Reach might be behind the game at this time. However, we do know that Reach have set themselves a target of 15% growth this year, so hopefully they have plans in play to catch up. | kazoom
30/5/2019 08:45 | Daily mail share price jumped this morning, may affect positively on Reach. | cityconindex
20/5/2019 13:59 | Trident 5 yes it is. Divi on the 7th and a month later half yearly statement / divi payment in September. Very good as tightly close together. Hope it's a bumper one. | cityconindex
13/5/2019 09:03 | Is it still major resistance now that it's XD? | trident5
13/5/2019 07:03 | 83.20p is a major resistance. Last week went past it, hopefully will attempt this week. Then 99.50. Possible sale of Archant. Telegraph article. | cityconindex
10/5/2019 10:20 | Strength today after ex div. day, all in all continues recent positive move. Three figures by the end of the year cannot be ruled out, however sure that we are all happy taking the dividends. | our haven |
