Huge move in UPL on Wick success but you can see on twitter and the boards people are putting so much faith in a 30-40% CoS drill, not a great place to be, companies need to diversify in this market.

RBD basically got Wick/Curlew/Oulton for free from purchasing a stake in corallian.

Monroe Swell news due which will say rig mobilized from Brentwood to Monroe and then Wick results end of this week or early next with rig being mobilized to Colter...failure on Wick will have little impact on Reabold although that is not to say market makers will try it on.

I'm not in UPL, but the CEO appears to be confident in the prospects of Wick, that's why upl have invested quite a large sum into wick, which we have to remember is sandwich between two producing fields, Lybster and Beartice.

Morning Aviator

Not sure why UPL have not been more astute in spreading risk re Wick/Colter, perhaps we amateurs do not understand the reasoning very well. Moreover we are correlating Wick and Colter due to the rig contract and the involvement of RBD and BOIL in both.

I may be wrong but Wick with regard to UPL looks like a dice throw, if successful then the company could be leveraged into a monster with plenty of money to develop Tunisia and Sarawak. Well worth holding some UPL yet keeping powder dry for a Wick fail.

‘Tuned’ my holdings tactically in BOIL and UPL now. Not radically.

Does anyone think we might get Monroe swell news before Wick? There are so many places news could come from it is hard to know which will arrive first.

Who knows. Someone made a decent point on the upl bb about why SS passed over Colter opportunity. Wick may just be a surprise but regardless Im here until Parta at least. The most urgent I feel is someone showing rbd how to release rnss!

Nothing wrong with people trying to guess what is going on. It will always happen in the O & G sector.

I find it astonishing folk are relying on twitter updates as if they are official RNS updates. Lol!Wait for the joint venture to announce news, won't be too long folks.Cash

Not necessarily lucky, its complex, faulted geology. The wiser gamblers (not this one) will at least have held back for Colter. There is an unusual target, fairly low risk yet a huge variation in possible resources; the low end being marginally commercial.

James Berwick is a different matter and more than makes up for Seftons shortfalls.

@luckykids

Sefton is one of the most useless directors I have ever come across on AIM, so lets agree to disagree on AAOG....investing starts with management.

Laughable LeemanEven basic research on aaog would have told you Sandabel death spiral financing ended by management as soon as they saw what happened. If you haven't seen latest interview with Sefton you have NO idea what is to come.(Monday for just starters)I hold both this and aaog but much more optimistic now on the other one.I will accumulate more here if a dip. Depends on Wick for my decision

Agreed poor price action but what can you do, this is aim mostly unpredictable all you can do is look at fundamentals and they are improving here. Sooner or later this will rerate just need one of the biggies to land.

As for AAOG uninvestable but a good trade I can see the appeal on recent news, get rid of the management and death spiral and there might be a decent company there.
