A post from adoubleuk on LSE suggesting it might take a few days before they start.

'Once on location there will be at least around 24 hours for preload, jackup and cantilever skidout. Then there will be a period of 'rig acceptance testing'. Personally I'm unable to guess how long this will take, because I don't know how much of it might have been performed when the rig was in port. But (sticking my neck out) I'd say a minimum of 36 hours.

Then of course there will be equipment and materials for the well to be taken onboard, as it's highly doubtful that some heavy things will have been loaded prior to the tow, and logistically that wouldn't make sense anyway in cost terms. Load-up can of course start to be done during the acceptance testing, but Standard Operating Practice is that spud doesn't go ahead until there's more than a bare minimum of such equipmant and materials onboard.

It must also be borne in mind that this rig hasn't worked for a while, and it's the first time for this Operator, so such timelines might spread out wider rather than become thinner. For these reasons, although spud may be theoretically possible by Monday, I personally don't expect it so soon. And then even if we don't get a spud RNS on Thursday when the market reopens, I won't be worried about that either.'

Podcast out on RBD today, he sounded churpy.

Only need a few of these biggie drills to come of and we are laughing all the way to the bank.

In the meantime low volumes in the markets over the christmas period, no doubt market makers will shake a few out.

Yep just patience GOM. All will come good in time. Been a bit disappointed with drill delays myself but doesnt change why i invested in first place. Hindsight i should have taken a few out last rise but didnt. Oh well. The iis still there. If you want something that news is VERY close on and very few shares that will bag several times check out NTOG. Going to be excellent mate. VERY soon. 20k buys going in yest and i see how the mms trying to manip by small sells.

Who would risk not being in, this close to the fireworks. With Wick to spud over the next week, west brent.. news on way, Colter, parta etc.

Some institution lend money to RBD through a share dilution.
These people bought on the cheap at .6p.
Why would they NOT SELL? Because of the remote chance of finding oil?

Nahh hes another corrupt market maker. One of many who frequent these bbs. Probably got a short on in his t20. They offered a CEO of another company a wad for shorting but he exposed them.

iLeeman, very good post, yes we have a very good spread of companies. My ops room needs some new maps now, becoming quite complex. I dont know about you but my performance has been actually quite poor over the last few weeks. Failed to manage the overlying risk (p.o.o).

Time to step off the plate and try to rebuild the bigger picture!
