Romania IM well will be complete soon people. This is what Romania partner ADX announced in the trading halt a few days ago;

"Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in trading halt until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday, 4 September 2019 or when the announcement is released to the market"

Finally starting to get limits now, 750k 1.4 p then goes to NT.

Looks like overhang has cleared.

That's exactly why you only need RBd. It's got diversification enough as it is.

Divmad,

Going abroad or getting into too many different jurisdictions brings its own set of risks. I think the real attraction of RBD is the type of diversification they have built into this company. All the wells they have been involved in, with the exception of Wick, were appraisal stage. So a duster has been less likely than your typical smallcap oil co. The nature of the assets selected, lend themselves to nearterm monetisation.

I like this strategy and they can continue this aslong as this valuation gap exists for pre-cashflow assets. However, they must close out (atleast) one of the assets in order to demonstrate full cycle return, at some point down the line. It looks like they are preparing for something like that given the capital reduction approval.

Of course RBD aren't completely dependent on the UK and are diversified by their assets in California and Romania.

When I was a professional fund manager, the concept of diversification to reduce portfolio risk was drummed into me. That said, it makes little sense to hold both ujo and RBd in a portfolio, they are basically doubling up the potential, AND the risk at the alpha level. Better to find an oil co completely away from the UK or at a different level of development, or better still, something in another sector.

Cash that maybe so but ujo is small fry in comparison to rbd, and so all things considered and with west newton in focus I think that ujo and RBD are a reasonable bet!
Furthermore if all comes good at WN then considerable upside for both, and for RBD a result by ADX will give legs here

wisteria,

I appreciate they have wressle. However, wressle planning has been rejected again and again by council, so any investor first needs to see they can actually get planning for that otherwise its oil in ground worth zero.

RBD has actually delivered on their plan from a couple of years back. Its working and Romania, reading up on ADX Energy's analysis and commentary, in the context of a smallcap it looks BIG with a lot of running room once they start going after other prospects and fields.

The other problem that disproportionately affects ujo? ...Chrisoil was until recently one of their biggest shareholders if not the biggest shareholder overthere. When you have to rely on bloggers like Chrisoil to be your cornerstone investor, it says a lot about the calibre they attract (or have not managed to attract for that matter). He still has a substantial holding and may well be selling his stake into recent strength.

RE: Q&A with Stephen Williams....

A3) " Clearly we've already got some very impressive assets in the portfolio so to stand up against the likes of West Newton is not easy but we really believe that Parta will be at that sort of scale"

Sounds more then promising....

Hold both myself, ujo has wrestle and according to David Bramwell will come on line in November producing 700 bopd ... that will realize 3.5 million dollars per annum. Not to be sneezed at,
But is no comparison as C&C says about the potential of the Romanian play. GLA HOLDERS

Some of the assumptions will now change based on the recent drill at WN and also any testing/data they got from the well/field before revising the EWT program. To do justice to a CPR, they've got to spend time on it carefully going over all the new data and modelling it. In short, it will take a while.

But this is RBD, not UJO. This is no one trick pony. There is a major asset on the go in Romania which has already achieved its key objective (gas), but seems to have stumbled on more than they were expecting. I would suggest RBD holders need not worry about West Newton and focus on Romania as that is potentially a huge value creating opportunity in its own right. The deepest part of the Romanian well is being drilled now and a result will be known there in the next several days.

NPV net RBD $42million across the two appraisal wells I wonder how much that increases if they hit oil aswell, worth noting so far market not given any value to the gas success.

Missed this bit, very interesting.

"we’ve seen heavier hydrocarbons in the samples, there’s indications here that there may be a liquids play in some of the deeper zones that we’ve gone through so far. Of course, that would be extremely interesting, the gas was always the primary target here but finding liquids just adds substantially to both the value and the ability to quickly monetise this well."
