29/4/2010 08:34 | mallorca 90 - 29 Apr'10 - 08:30 - 3259 of 3259: agreed, I never do but the at least give you a rough idea of where an share price is at and why... With no ramping intended (I hold a small amount in my ISA) this could see 60p as this would still only mean a cost to a bidder of 46million plus the debt. And as I have said before sterling is weak so the debt can be reduced roughly by a third by a bidder (from abroad) and they can either add it to their long term debt or renegotiate it with better rates. This global brand will still seem cheap at 60p. However it is unlikely to reach that with the current managements er... 'skills. DYOR and good luck to all aboard. Shorters should sell for what they can get IMHO. | sea and sky

29/4/2010 08:24 | restassured - 21 Apr'10 - 14:46 - 3169 of 3254 You are criminal in spreading nonsense about higher bids. It won't happen! LOL LOL LOL | mallorca 90
29/4/2010 08:23 | Simon Cawkwell - 28 Apr'10 - 15:34 - 3199 of 3254 Gentlemen, This bid is advised by the BoD to leave perhaps just 4p in a potential shell. Given that RAY is in the hands of its bankers and that these bankers get out clear of a bad debt it is not remotely likely that somebody else will bounce up and be accepted by the bankers. Thus 4p it is and therefore those buying here, save to close a short, are a bit soft in the bonce. ROFLOL | mallorca 90

29/4/2010 08:14 | Daytraders - 29 Apr'10 - 08:06 - 3250 of 3252 surprised we not heard from any shorters here since these rns's ? there are a lot of bids building up at 16p as the shorts try to cover... this could go quite a bit higher in an attempt to balance their books. Simon for instance... | sea and sky

29/4/2010 07:50 | Restassured: I should think that Lloyds(aka The Government) might have a word with 'the competition authorities' about any problems with Garmin don't you? Unlikely that anyone will stop a sale under these circumstances. Remember HBOS? | sea and sky
